Bensons for Beds Southampton

They’ve taken my money and twice caused delivery to be cancelled the afternoon before as they appear to have
“lost” or had issues with part of the order. Even though this time round I called them yesterday (Tuesday) and was told the full order was arriving on Thursday (mattress and bed base). At 3.30 pm Wednesday I get an email telling me there is still no mattress. I then spent over 20 minutes trying to get through to avoid being shouted at by their delivery people at 7 am trying to deliver a bed with no mattress (another chapter in this awful tale). Wish I had never handed over my money. Now trying to get my money back. They don’t deserve one star in my opinion. Also it takes ages to get through on the phone.

The staff that delivered the bed were really rude they didn’t know they were collecting a bed to take it away from the address when I explained that it was a warranty claim and I had had the bed 3 years they both laughed as if to make light of the situation they then refused to take the bed Until I made them call there customer services.

They then finally agreed after 10 minutes to take the old bed away however they then put the new bed in the bedroom and said that they wouldn’t be putting it together I explained that the paperwork was clearly wrong and they should be put in the bed together and they refused and walked out the address and got in the van and drove away.

I should add as well that the previous week the bed was due to be delivered and I waited in for it and didn’t turn up however I got a phone call from the delivery guys saying that they were stood outside of the wrong address and when I asked if they could deliver the bed they said no it’s no They only have this address And I would need to contact the customer services and then they hung up.

I would never use Benson beds again in fact only this morning I’ve just been to furniture village and place an order for a Hypnos mattress and matching bed the staff were great and I have no doubt that the delivery will be good having ordered sofas from them in the past.

5 stars for the monumental ball's up that we have experienced with benson's.. Ordered divan and mattress on 16 of October costing £2544.96 with a delivery date of 23 November, the day of delivery we get phone call from delivery driver "There's good news and bad news got divan but no mattress" he arrived i had to help carry into bed room and we paid for set up(£30 where's my cut) when finished he phoned i presumed warehouse to then say" someone will phone you" then left.
After an hour trying to contact customer services we got through to be told "mattress will be delivered on 1st December" bearing in mind since the 16 October we received email's saying "it was on time" mean wile we contacted the Hedge end store as usual they know nothing.
1st December still no mattress spend over 1 hour trying to contact customer services again to be told 1 minute that there's a shortage of materials then next minute that it was waiting in warehouse to be delivered, by this time im ready to explode to then be told that it wot be delivered until 10th January..... Now benson's You are taking the p*@#s....
You are a joke no one wanted to help resolve this you just hoped we would suck this up and just wait for you to bumble your way thruogh this till it was delivered even when we visited the store today (1st December) no one was interested in this situation no resolve no looking into it further all they could say "sorry" well went to Dreams and got a mattress being delivered on 10th...
Dont wast you're time with these clowns all they will do is fob you off with p*@s poor excuses and hope you just wait
Avoid Avoid Avoid Avoid..... Do yourself a favor and go to Dreams at least they know wot they have in stock and know when they can deliver it..... Thank you DREAMS for doing what benson's can't...

The Salesman showed us a range of products and recommended the best ones for us. He was genuine, had a great product knowledge and talked us through every step of the process. We will be recommending Benson's to our friends.

Well, it was a good experience to see how dedicated the staff were to welcome new customers. We received a nice greeting from Grant and a fantastic customer service. However, the other 4 were having a tea break, chatting away, not paying attention to customers walking by, and even sat on the desk while talking to others with hot drinks on the desk. It felt like we were disturbing they 'comfy' chat. To be honest, it was not overly crowded, however, the few didn't seem to matter.

We are thrilled with our new Bensons bed! The quality and service we received were outstanding! The delivery team were amazing too, nothing was too much trouble. The Artisan mattress is beautiful and so very comfortable. The ottoman base is a joy to use! Thank you so much to the team at Bensons for Beds at Hedge End, Southampton we can’t thank you enough! 🙏⭐️

I prefer the mattress tharapure they sell next door, virtually they have nothing that is a sprung/ foam mattress with gel on top!

Terrible service. 13 weeks and 5 attempts to actually receive the mattress on top of countless emails and phonecalls. If you are in a rush for a product you would struggle to find anyone slower....be warned !!!
