What they've done to the decor in this place is really sad. It feels very claustrophobic now. The long benches take up so much space and are really unsociable compared to ordinary tables. It feels so small, the stage is now really small and they've covered over the windows. Horrible big TVs everywhere. It's a real shame. It was so much nicer when it was The Revelry. I can't express how miserable the staff were. Not going back.

Bavarian culture pub. Been here twice, no one else was there. Staff was nice, but clearly bored. They have some german beers, but the feeling is just not there. The interior is green which makes my group think of Ireland... Apparently there are some events upcoming, bands, quiz nights and song writer nights. So far an underwhelming experience.

Great beer range but expensive and devoid of real atmosphere. A sloppy imitation of a proper German bar.

I had a really good night at the bierkeller last night. It was my first visit to this place. I like the vibe there and they have my fave cider Devon red! Not much room for manoeuvre as the bar is always crowded, it would be better if they moved the tables so there's more space to move. Also took quite long to get served but on the whole it was a good experience and I would definitely go back.

This is marmite sort of place, packed with student most of time. Sitting at the long tables is a sociable experience. You can get beers in very large glasses which is a bonus. It is quite sparse decor wise but, and they have weird sing along Bavarian themed evenings which are a bit hard to get in to unless you are blind drunk. . . .which you likely would be owing to size of glasses.

Great new years eve event by the Bliss crew. The venue was done up beautifully and created a really nice space for dancing.

Apparently it's now £5 per head for entry on a Saturday evening. As a group of 14 of us, we would have spent a lot of money here.

But with a £70 entry fee? Jog on...and so we did. Your loss Bierkeller.

Steal your money, take a booking and then don't honour it, nothing in the email to say we had to turn up 3 hours before the match, sell out of date Guinness in cans for silly prices, £2 for a can of Sprite, sell Thatchers in cans for rip off prices! DO NOT GO HERE!
