Lee (the owner) is very helpful and knowledgeable. I went in to buy some lagers, and left with a kit to brew my own! Will definitely be coming back.

We went in here for a quick drink after work and were fortunate enough to have the lovely Lee greet us. His beer range is second to none for a shop - even on draft where he serves a lemony-peanut butter sour which he described as a ‘marmite’ beer (you either love it or you hate it) but we all loved it, along with the other 3 he served! Would highly recommend to anyone passing through town - make sure you check out the back garden. Thanks Lee :)

Very knowledgable in all matters homebrew! Walked in to discuss a problem with one of my brews - excellent, friendly customer service, really took the time to listen to everything I’d done and understand what I needed. He knew exactly what to do and had the exact product in hand to fix my Weiss beer, and talked me through step-by-step with how to use and what to expect.

Would definitely recommend! Great place to sample a range of interesting tipples top, especially now they’ve got the outdoor areas.

Avoid – he doesn’t care about his customers. He only opens when he wants to.

I wanted to visit the store, but online I found three different sets of opening times, so I chose a time when all three showed him to be open. I made my trip (quite a long journey) and found that he hadn't bothered to open at all that day. I contacted him directly and he gave me a time for the next day when he said that he would “try to be open”. I made a second long round trip to visit, but still closed. Furious - wasted time and petrol. I gave up. I found that he had left a message to say that he “hoped to be open” by 11am, but he even failed on that front too.

Summary: Don't waste your time with this store. He obviously doesn't consider customers to be important. Spend your effort buying your supplies from somone who actually bothers to open up when they say they’re going to. He clearly doesn’t care.

Dem beers be poppin brah woah. Awesome knowledgeable guys who won't shy away from all manner of booze related questioning, even how to make it. Looking forward to the beer and mead they're brewing upstairs and now the bar is ready it's great to just hang out and watch the characters of Gloucester Road bumble by. But yeah massive selection of beer, cider, and mead. If I lived any nearer they'd ruin me!
