Bainton Bikes

Excellent, friendly, helpful folks. And rental cost for a week were very reasonable. My bike was also beautiful, robin’s egg blue and in perfect order. A+++ rating from me.

Hired an ebike (+ panniers) for a 4 day tour of Cotswolds. Bainton’s is an easy pleasant 15 walk from Oxford station along canal, and 5 min ride back to station (to continue to Charlbury) Very helpful staff and excellent value.

Very friendly and accommodating and clear on procedures and expectations. We had a lovely time. I actually realized later I’d made a mistake on dates for my reservation, but the attendants graciously smoothed over the situation when I showed up on the wrong day, providing my partner and me bikes, helmets, and a lock promptly as though I’d shown up on the correct day! Some luck there that bikes were available, but great service all the same.

Had an excellent, fun and informative Bike Tour of Oxford! Thoroughly enjoyed the route which was a thrilling yet comfortable ride (Even those not very active with cycling could manage it)! Shout-out to Henry who did a great job being a fun, relatable and easy-to-talk to guide! Cheers and see y'all again soon! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I rented a bike with a trailer for a week of holidays with my son in Oxford. I had the best experience as we could discover the city and the parks around. The whole service was awesome, from a great customer experience to having a nice bike. I fully recommend this place!!

Great bikes and fantastic service. Easy to pick up and return the bikes, and the cycles themselves were well built and reliable. They also came with a sturdy lock and helmets, as required. Can’t recommend enough and will definitely use Bainton again.

I often hire from Bainton bikes when I return to the area. I live in Switzerland but have family here so come and go and usually try to fit in a long cycle when I’m back as I’m a keen road cyclist and the road cycling in Oxfordshire is beautiful!
The staff at Bainton bikes are friendly and helpful and always find an option for me even if I leave it too late and they don’t have road bikes available for hire. The cost is very reasonable, the staff are very friendly and give good advice.
On my most recent visit one of the young lads sorted a bike for me and even advised me on a nice cycle in the local area - he offered this info voluntarily and the cycle was beautiful - so thank you for that!
If you need to hire - this is the place to go! A lovely family run business - it’s rare to see these still standing these days - especially run to such a high standard. Thanks Bainton bikes! See you next time I’m back!

Staff here were fantastic. We turned up randomly and had 3 bikes hired with everything in minutes. Good value as well and really helpful about where to go. Clearly know their stuff on bikes and really cared that we were set up for a good time.
