John's Bikes

Good local place to go. The guy, I assume his name is John, knows his stuff and very friendly. Same day repair on a broken spoke. Reasonable price too. Recommend over your chain shop any day.

John always gives a fair estimate and gets the work done on time. Good prices and friendly service. Will usually try and fix a problem rather than just sell you things .

I strongly recommend NOT to go to this place.
I had a flat tire and he charged me of changing the tube.
After a few hours, the tire was flat again and it was obvious that he did not change the tube but just filled the air because I recognized that the tube was the same bloody one as before.

Awesome guy, always trying to help with getting things done quickly if possible. Very reasonably priced - sometimes worry it's too cheap. Looks after all our bikes well.

I went some days ago with a rear wheel where several spokes went loose and some were destroyed. He replaced them and then re-balance the wheel. Let me tell you that's not an easy job or a task you can easily do it at home. I got also a flat tire so he worked very quickly and he also advise me that it should probably get a new wheel but due to the fact that is now very hard to get the appropriate bike spare parts, I would say that he saved my bike. He was prompt with the job and he respected the time agreed to pick-it up since I was in my way to work. I can only say that service was very good and due to this I highly recommend John's Bikes shop.

Really nice guy, but when I got him to replace my tires a few weeks ago he sold me the thinest possible tires and I had to replace them in under a week because I was getting punctures every other day. Today I also discovered that the extra inner tube he sold me was an inch larger diameter and a quarter inch thicker than the tires he serviced for me, which meant it is incompatible and doesn't work as a replacement.

Terrible bike shop, John is lazy and useless and never there, won't even pump up your tyres for you!!! waste of time going there.

I am very surprised that people recommend this shop. He doesn't want to work at all! And I realized that he acts different when customer is not native English speaker. Also, I paid £54 for my bike to be fixed but after a week same problems. Nothing has changed. Stay away from this shop
