What a fantastic area, right next to the canal with excellent moorings. Had a good 7 mile walk along the perimeter and such a peaceful area full of wildlife. No facilities there no shop or toilets other that a nearby marina up the press arm with a cafe.

A magical place. Walks can start from Wixall marina but check openings of their cafe if you want refreshments. Mammoth tower is well worth the detour with lots of interesting facts about the area & view.

A good day out for a walk. Place has a real sense of remoteness.

Big sky. Plenty of flat walking, with an interesting mix of history, industrial exploitation and nature. Recommend good footwear as it is likely to be wet in places.

A fantastic nature reserve in North Shropshire. Well worth a visit at differing times of year to find a wealth of wildlife from rare birds to dragonflies. Just make sure you wear the correct gear!!

A great open space, fantastic birds, reptiles, insects and plants. We go there a lot, in all seasons and always enjoy our time there.

Great walk along the canal and information along the way telling you about the wildlife and adders and what to do if you get bitten but you are warned about the areas they are in we stuck to the towpaths
