Had to attend emergency dentist here. I'm not the biggest fan of dentists to begin with but the dentist I saw had obviously had a bad weekend and resented being in work on a Sunday. His attitude was so bad it was obvious even the other dentists on duty didn't want to be working with him. It was a shame as all the other staff were really good. I'm sure he even inflicted more pain on me than was necessary when giving me a local anesthetic, although I can't prove it. I think NHS staff get a hard time whilst trying to do a difficult job. We really should not complain about waiting times as it's not really that long a wait when your treatment is, if not totally free then heavily subsidised. Where else in the world can you get that? But I can't help but think that, that particular dentist should be complained at, harassed and generally abused for his attitude and demeanour. 😜

Just finished my physio treatment via the ankle clinic after many months. For such a dated building the staff I have encountered have always been polite and pleasant. The support and patience has been outstanding as also the ease and casual professionalism they applied to myself and others I witnessed throughout the arduous process of recovery. I hope someone from within the NHS reads this review because for me it highlights the abilities and strength staff can bring to what appears to be a underfunded organisation. Thank you for helping my recovery.

Disgusted at the lack of service for dental patients over the weekend and bank holiday. I have suffered with a tooth absess and the pain was unbearable! Advised by nhs direct to go to emergency dentist and to get there for 8.30 as only so many patients will be seen. Arrive at 8.15 number 15 in the queue. Staff arrive and say only 10 patients can be seen.
Morfa doc couldn't see me as they aren't insured. Due to feeling desperate with unbearable pain, high temp nausea and headache I took myself to a and e. There was an 11 hour wait. The sister rang round emergency dentists in north wales and no one would see me. All I needed was a simple script for antibiotics. A and e where stretched to the max and shouldn't have to pick up dental patients because the dental service will only see 10 patients. Dental pain is off the scale and there was no service able to help me, something needs to change.

Took my son for an appointment at the dental department and was really impressed by how friendly all the staff were. The dentist took the time to explain everything to my son showing him the xrays ect and involved him in planning his treatment.

A very strange hospital indeed…

As other reviewers have stated, you can literally be on their corridor floor in need of emergency medical attention and they will refuse to treat you if you haven’t been referred by a GP, if their doors are even open that is... For at least 40 years, the doors to this hospital have been closed to the public the majority of the time.

Maybe Betsi Cadwaladr should consider spending that £348,000,000 on some new doors 😃

Good staff. Needs better directions/signage. Phlebotomy is located in Outpatients across the road. Not in the main building.
