The Boathouse

What a beautiful park!

This could be a lovely cafe with a little more effort. We came for lunch and chose two sandwiches which were awful. The bacon sandwich was soggy and the ham salad must have been three days old.
If I'd only wanted an ice cream or a drink it would be getting a better review.
The staff were OK and the location is superb, the council just need to make a better effort with the produce and this could be an unmissable cafe.

Good fun when me single kayak only £2 with 25 minutes only.

Must have an over 18 in the boat. I wish my 15 and 16 year old could've gone while I waited in the cafe with a brew!! I had to sit and stare at the water as they paddled and enjoyed themselves. Hopefully I will remember to take my thermos cup if we go again. Is there anywhere in burnley where kids can enjoy good clean fun without mum needing to be right next to them? They are mid teens.... not 5 and 6. The 5 and 6 year olds had more freedom on the climbing frame.... the adults watching were sat right across the playground!

Unfortunate but it keeps the park very clean and so great for kids and picnics.
