Just spent a wonderful week (13-20 May 2022) on Mercury Emblem with my wife, sister and brother-in-law (the latter two are in their 80s). From the original booking onwards Ferry Marina have been absolutely marvellous. All of the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful, particularly Leah who answered all the questions we had before arrival with great patience and professionalism. The instruction and advice provided by Dave Ward on boarding was clear and comprehensive. We have had a wonderful holiday and fully recommend Ferry Marina to anyone wishing to explore the Norfolk Broads in style and comfort.

We booked a day boat from Ferry Marina out of Horning.
Parking was included and we were able to park right next to the mooring.
We were greeted by two young men who made sure we were okay, had everything we needed and talked us through the instructions.
They made sure we knew all we needed about the boat and safety before setting off on our own.
We were given life jackets and we had brought our own for our dogs.
There was plenty of fuel to keep going all day too.
There were only the two of us, so we had the smaller boat, the Skipper. It was expensive as I imagine it is expected to have up to six people who would share the cost.
There is a map of the river and times it takes to travel there to help you plan your day.
The time goes very quickly so you need to consider how far you will get before having to return, especially if you are planning to moor up for a picnic or a wander around a village.
The boat is clean and tidy. There is a little gas stove and kettle, although you will need to bring all your cups, spoons, drinks etc.
There is also a small toilet, although not nice smelling in the hot sun. It did contain toilet tissue and was clean.
The plastic cushions became very hot in the sun and we had to use the picnic rug to stop getting burned legs.
The boat is easy to drive.
You need to be aware of all the other river users, who are not always predictable and be aware of speed traps where the river is built up or there is housing on the river front. This is patrolled.
We had a fantastic day, very lazy and chilled out.
The staff were fantastic, polite, friendly and knowledgeable. They didn't treat us like idiots, but were able to make sure we knew all we needed to.
While the cost means this would not be a regular pastime I would certainly recommend this company. Looking at other hire boats available as they passed us, as well as looking at other websites I felt confident that we were in good hands with high quality boats.

1st Time boating for my partner and I so a little unsure what to expect. We just know we wanted pub visits and some relaxing time. We got exactly what we wished for. The boat was ready for about 12.30 and was immaculate. We were welcomed by Keith who besides doing our safety and training on the boat was very knowledgeable on the area. He pointed us in the right direction of the best places to eat and visit and made us feel very welcome. A great asset to FM.

Silent Emblem was our choice, which is an electric boat. This is great! No noisy diesel engine chugging away! The boat was well equipped with toaster, microwave, oven, kettle with a kodern kitchen. The double French doors allowed plenty of light into the bedroom. The bathroom was modern with a rainfall shower head and a tower radiator.

Would definitely recommend this boat and Ferry Marina to anyone and would use them again. Try and get Keith too if you can!

Welcome was friendly and easy. Collected the boat with the minimum of fuss. Keith was excellent and efficient. Highly recommend. Excellent value for money with absolutely no hidden extras which we have had before at other hirers. Definitely would return.

Really helpful staff, called to hire a picnic boat or book for another day, was offered a bigger boat which was available straight away. Had a fantastic day on the broads, cruised to Potter Heigham and moored to have some lunch then back for 5.00 pm, I can highly recommend this company.

Great marina, friendly helpful staff to help or guide free mooring with facilities for water and sewerage on busy waterway. Next door to The Ferry Inn pub and easy 5 min walk into Horning Village.

We love the Broads. Life at 4mph and no kids. Ferry Marina people couldn't be more helpful. We don't go anywhere else to hire a boat. Always very clean and comfortable. If I could give them 6 stars, I would.
