Brecon Boathouse

Lovely place for a picnic and a dip in the river, boat hire a reasonable price and a nice little park for the children.

Great for days out parking works out a pound an hour

Beautiful scenery, lovely to take a dip! Cafe was alright, touristy prices which was expected - £4 for a tub of icecream (2 scoops).

Lost stars are for the boat hire - do not go by the times on Google! They open when they feel like it! Had to walk around the local area (albeit lovely!) just to waste 3 hours waiting for the people to arrive!

What a great place for a day out. Pedalos to rent for £10 half an hour (enough time unless you're super fit) There were kayaks and SUPs, not sure if privately owned though. Nice little cafe with delicious ice cream. Car park was cheap enough and free for disabled (blue badge) Nice family business. Will definitely be going back

Disappointing, thin tasting coffee, no food only sweet pre-packaged cakes. Most of the place is given over to coin slot machines. Could have potential as a nice cafe by the river if all the former were changed.

Excellent place to laze around in the tree shade next to the river. Affords great view of Pen-y-fan (Brecon Beacons). Some even go wild swimming in the river!

Love this place! Been going here since I was a child and it is still as memorable and amazing as I remember. Great experience for the family.

I have worked in Brecon now for over a year....I have only just found this. What a gem. Some.really nice cycling routes around here, straight of the bike into this river. Water is deep enough to swim but you can still stand in most places (I'm 6ft) beautiful, peaceful....worth the trip. I'm not sure how long it is, but I was able to swim 2km up and down.....
