One Tree Books

Local, happy, friendly service. Excellent in-stock selection and always happy to order things in. I use One Tree Books for both my personal book shopping, and for ordering for school. The staff are knowledgeable, host book festivals and special events, and are thoughtful with book recommendations. There is even a book club. In fact, two: one for classic stories, and one for recent publications- something for everyone. When I was new to the area, it was (and still is) a lovely way to meet and chat with people who love to read, and have a great debate!

I always buy my books here because I want to support INDEPENDENT book shops. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is a very good cafe with delicious food. There's also a great upstairs space sometimes used for poetry readings and meetings and best of all the downstairs counter works as a Box Office for local theatre. Unusual and interesting!

My friend and I, who hadn’t seen each other in years, chose to meet at One Tree Books. What a lovely store! The pastries and tea was delicious. It was a pleasant atmosphere to visit and “catch up” with my friend.

Lovely little bookshop. I wish the little café in the back was near the windows instead. The coffee is good, but the cakes are overpriced.

Excellent service.
I went into the shop around 4.15pm 23rd December. A book I wanted for a christmas present was ordered. I did say would it be here in time. 10am, 24th December received text book in shop ready for collection. Couldn't ask for a better service.
