If you enjoy taking your time, browsing bookshelves in a relaxing environment, then the experience of visiting this lovely independent bookshop should be right up your street.

The staff are very welcoming and helpful, knowledgeable and willing to try to source books if you do not find immediately what you are looking for. The service feels very personal and engaging.

The true joy is finding little treasures that were unexpected, as I did - be prepared to come away with more than you might have intended (if only a great feeling) and looking forward to a return visit!

Really nice book store with such a plethora of books. I love how this place has been laid out and decorated - would love if there were seats to sit down and have a read!

A treasure trove of books old and new. Ideally plan to spend time (and money) here - bring your wallet for a wet Saturday afternoon (other days of the week are available).
The only side was I couldn't find any adult science fiction or fantasy - unless it was mixed in with general fiction?

If you are a book enthusiast or really want to visit something that gives you a sense of say Harry Potter like library - this is the place. It’s not much when you walk in but as you explore there is a section when you can find older more appreciated books, and there is a considerable amount of children’s literature as well. I was particularly impressed with the cosy space to sit and read some of the books if one wanted - and the staff as a whole were extremely pleasant and help as well. Great spot to visit if you out in St Albans.

Fun bookshop and independent! Quirky interior and helpful staff.
Why go to Waterstones when when you can come here. Both are charming. But they helped and order came in 48hrs.

A small place, easy to get lost for hours. My favourite bit was the shelf with the handwritten notes reviews from the book shop. Loved the vintage books and the children's area at the back of the shop too. Really looking forward to come back :)
