I can only add my 5-star review to all the others already on here. If you are looking for perfectly laid out shelves, well stocked and knowledgeable sales-people, you have found your literary nirvana.
When we enquired about a book for a 6 year old the salesperson who seems to have read most of books which were on sale, was able to give insightful and helpful advice, in a reassuring and comforting manner. We could have spent ages in there, and as we left others were coming in.
Stop by if you are anywhere near Brixton Station, you won't be disappointed.

London hide a very big treasures and this shop is on of them! A lot of choices and very helpful staff that knows how to guide you to pick the right book. I leave the shop with promise to come back to buy the future present.

Stopped in today thinking I’d buy something to support a local bookshop and left with 6 somethings! I ended up chatting for probably 30 min with the staff Meera who is extremely well read and loves giving recommendations for both books for adults and children. She would pause to say hello and chat with everyone else who came in and I felt guilty taking up so much of her time but will go back for more recommendations in the future. The shop itself is not large but has a wide diversity of topics and titles. Fiction and non-fiction for all ages. They have relationships with authors in the community and have signed copies of books as well.

I visited this book store as I was hoping to get some meaningful and educational children books as a gift and I was not disappointed. They have such a wonderful and diverse selection of books and topics for all ages (from as young as new born infants to adults). The shop keeper was really helpful and assisted me with making my selection. Highly recommend!

Went for a book launch, small & intimate, lovely staff 😊 in a nice space & pocket. I'll go back to check out their books. Nice surroundings too, nice eats, I'm Brixton market, brings back memories

Wow! This is a hidden gem in the heart of Brixton Market. Stocks books by Black, Asian and other authors from underrepresented groups. Brilliant!

The staff are also super helpful if you’re overwhelmed. Friendly and well-informed. I’ll definitely be revisiting ❤️‍🔥

⭐️TOP TIP: a must visit for parents with children often underrepresented in bookshops (especially young black children!)

An independently owned wonderful small but fully stocked bookshop with a wide number of books with “children like me” on the cover.

They stock a huge collection of British publishers too.

Absolutely stop by as they also have a number of books aimed at adults too. If you love reading it’s a must-visit while in Brixton market.

There is also a small reading area which may offer events once the pandemic is over.

When you’ve finished with your book, pop over to eat in Fish Wings and Tings (Caribbean food) or Eat of Eden (Caribbean vegan food) and flick through your new book purchase in the sunshine.

Good little bookshop with helpful staff. It has moved from it's original location (I was worried when I saw the old empty store) but it is only round the corner.
