What a unique experience! I'd never been inside a barge, but this one had the immense advantage of being filled to the brim with books! There's a wide selection of topics and genres, but I was most attracted by the contemporary and literary fiction. Don't miss the chance to say hi to the adorable winged fellow downstairs, too! 🐦

♿ Not wheelchair accessible but luckily there are lots of books on display outside and you can also ask the kind staff to help you with your selection.

💳 Card payment available.

If you're a book love and you haven't been to the book barge, have you even been to London?

Really cool book shop with so much original character. A healthy selection of books, a mix of new and topical choices as well as classics. Includes a children's selection as well as niche topics such as art and cooking. Would love if it was bigger and had space to sit and chill. There's a parrot which can give a jump when it squawks if you're not expecting it!

Absolutely loved this quirky little shop.

The owner was super kind and friendly, and there was even an African Grey parrot that welcomed you aboard the boat.

Books were all very reasonably priced, and Regent Canal is a great place to hang out and read after you've found the book you're looking for

Delightful. A lovely place to visit. The were lots of books available both outside aswell as inside. Comfortable seats inside to sit on why looking at the book. And a little bit of entertainment on the top. I cant remember his name but such a pleasant man. There are seats along the bank to sit a watch to. Definitely worth a visit

Really lovely little bookshop! Had some friends visiting and was looking for some alternative bookshops to visit and came across this one. Very easy to find, really nice surrounding area and lovely guy running it. He wanted to do something he loved and it shows. So well packed with so many books! I managed to find a book I love signed by the author, very happy.

I found this books on the boat at night behind kings cross station crossing over the bridge to Granary Square, a nice calming melody was playing on the boat with lots of books displayed on the bout itself. The boat is well decorated and you can get on it reading the interesting titles of the books displayed while enjoying the calming music 🎶.
The Granary Square there is a lot to visit.

An absolute MUST visit if you are in London or this area by King's Cross. This is an absolute pleasure of a book shop with a wide range of books from vintage to new, from fiction to poetry.

The boat is absolutely brilliantly laid out and a true experience even if you don't buy any books but definitely do! There is lots for anyone.

They do take card as well which makes it super easy.
