BookBar is an absolute gem! It's become my new favourite bookshop. The staff are unfailingly helpful, passionate about their subject matter and great at recommending new books. The store itself is warmly and welcomingly decorated and the book offering is broad and deep. The refreshments are delicious and the additional merchandise and gifts they offer are great for a quick present purchase too. I'm going to have to get all of my books from here in future because this is one of the best local businesses I've discovered in a long time. Thank you BookBar for being so wonderful!

Beyond a bookshop! A truly delightful setting with an expert book match maker. Tom (?) was knowledgeable, passionate and patient in helping my friend and I curate what can only be described as an enviable reading stack. A gem.

There are very few words to describe how utterly amazing Bookbar is. It's as if you took all the best bits of your favourite books, the intimacy, the happiness, the tears, the emotional highs and put it on one place. Nestled on the corner of Blackstock Road, Chrissy has created an oasis for wanderers, writers, readers, and recluses. An effusive welcome with brightly colored books and warm smiles. If you happen to stop by, say hello to Chandler and Thom and ask them about their latest reads, have a great coffee, sit on perfectly pastel pink stools and listen to the sound of laughter, turning pages and soft jazz. Spend hours, minutes, seconds just breathing in a wonderful part of London that feels like home. You'll only regret not going earlier and the memory of your first visit will be seared into your mind forever. Ase xxx

I have never been to a book shop like this. The staff are all so nice, have passion towards the store and books I went to pick a book for my friend’s birthday and they gave good recommendations 💗can’t recommend enough

Nice atmosphere, but the space is quite small and there isn't much variety in books. Also, there are only drinks, no food or snacks (only crisps). Loved the service tho, the employees were super nice.

A great spot for books and hanging out. The staff are warm and welcoming and I left the store with a carefully wrapped gift and card for my grandmothers birthday. I’m looking forward to returning.

A gorgeous new bookshop on Blackstock Road! The shop has a great selection of books and should you need or want recommendations Chrissy is brilliant and so helpful.

The coffee is a delight and there's wine too, with tables outside so you can enjoy books with a beverage! Looking forward to when in person events can take place as there's space for that in the shop as well - really hope to see this indie thrive!
