The store is moving soon, great bargains to be hd if you have the time to search through.

The item description was dishonest. The book was heavily damaged but the packaging was intact. See the attached photos. The book also had a moldy odor. I purchased and afterwards returned the book through Amazon. Halcyonbooks withheld my refund while denying having received the book. This seller is a fraud. I suggest you take your business elsewhere.

I posted a negative review re Halcyon earlier. I have now withdrawn it. Subsequently they have got in contact with the book requests I’d made, actually in stock and to hand. Sadly for them, I’d got my choices elsewhere as I’d given up waiting and the recipient needed them pretty quickly. So 3 stars for getting back to me.

I ordered a book which was supposed to be in very good condition. The book was covered with tippex and annotations, making some sentences impossible to read. The bookshop offered to pay me back if I withdrew my comment .... I don t care about money, I just don t like to be fooled.

Wonderful bookshop and cafe. Lovely atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, nice music.

Took some books there for the owner to look at unfortunately his offer was very low I would get more for them at a bootfair
