I hadn't been in such an authentic bookshop in a long time. Books are truly at the center of this cozy little shop. The kind owner knows her way around them and will be glad to help you find the title you are looking for, or perhaps even a rare volume you had not heard about before. I spent a lovely afternoon browsing second hand books, and will definitely come back.

On our last day in London, we visited Kew Gardens. Upon exiting the gardens, we saw a small sign advertising Lloyd's of Kew Bookshop and decided to walk by there on our way back to our cottage. It was the bookshop of my dreams! Books everywhere, in piles and stacks up to the ceiling, books of all kinds, books of all ages. Our luggage was several pounds heavier after I packed my purchased.

Excellent for rare books, the collections are very well indexed and the owner knows her stock.
The layout is easy to navigate and the store is quite small. Prices are reasonable from £3 up marked in pencil. The books are in impeccable condition. I was offered a handy reusable tote with my purchase of 5 books. 2 pubs nearby for reading your finds. I will be back!

My favourite bookshop! I always find amazing gems and the owner is such a lovely person. I love spending time here digging through the piles of books, I just wish I could do it more often!

Lovely book shop that is full of hidden gems. Store owner was very friendly and very helpful. If you are looking for something different to the normal mainstream shops then head here.

Lovely little bookshop. Full of an array of books. Have a browse yourself and then speak to the staff about what type of books you enjoy and they will be more than happy to find it. But if your looking to haggle for a bargain look somewhere else

I love this book shop. It's a book shop that invites you search and find rare and beautiful treasures inside. I enjoyed stepping though and over the books. It's tidy but full. Go and see. Some other shop are to clinical for me. I felt like a kid in a candy shop. WELL DONE. I've been back soon.

I went in on a whim, wasn't looking for anything in particular.
Lloyd's of Kew has such a vast collection of literature, from what I could tell all pre-owned and a healthy selection of what I can only assume could be categorised as antique.

Personally I found the sections around philosophy and middle-east history and religion very interesting. I picked up a couple of books, one being a very old edition, in lovely condition, for a great price. Doesn't seem to be any unnecessary price hiking here!

The sections on gardening/agriculture/horticulture are vast. I spotted some old reference books published by Kew Gardens, shop geography explains as such, which were very interesting.

The bookkeeper on hand was very polite to myself and the other people who visited the store when I was there.
Offered to help, but most importantly wasn't overbearing. Left me along to browse this fascinating shop.
Upon visiting the till to make my purchase we had a chat about the books I had selected and further recommendations were made, very interesting, very helpful.

This is how I wish every bookshop was.
Cannot complain about a thing.

It's 2021 so worth noting: hand sanitiser supplied at entrance 👍
