I have been a regular customer there for years. The two guys that worked there for a long while made the customers feel welcomed and you wanted to buy books.The new staff have no social skills, they don't know how to treat the customer properly. You don't even want to buy a book there. It's a shame because whenever I look in there it looks dead.

The best bookshop in North Finchley. There is good selection of books and very rich one for children’s literature. If you are looking for a book and you cannot find it in there, the staff can order it.
There are some really nice toys, games and gifts. The shop also has gift bags.

My sister ordered a book from water stones and the staff where excellent. They took the email address and within three days the book was delivered and my sister picked this up. At all times the staff where excellent well done waterstones

So good to be able to go into a bookshop again. Yes, I know it's a chain but it is still a haven and a place to browse, learn, discover and enjoy those material things called books. Waterstones in Finchley is well stocked and has a great staff. Welcome back!
