Carmarthen Free Books

Nice to see the shop rehomed in their new permanent base in the centre of Carmarthen.

Lots of books of all genres can be found here. Two floors full in fact. They also sell clothes, jewellery, DVD's and other bits and pieces.

Good sized premises with a ramp leading up to the shop. Friendly, helpful staff who are always happy to help. Have really missed visiting this shop. Hope it continues for many years to come.

They have been providing an excellent service for many years. They take in books that otherwise would be thrown away or end up in landfill. They have just recently moved into new premises. Staff are always very helpful and there is a good range of fiction and non fiction. All books are free to take up to a maximum of three per day. I look forward to visiting on a regular basis. If you have any books you no longer have any use for, consider giving them a new home.

Great shop, great staff, always surprised at the lovely things people donate. Go to landfill, no way. Take the three books for free, but I know that donations would be very welcome for the upkeep of the building, plus a stairlift for those who find the stairs too steep to use. How lucky we are in Carmarthen to have this shop which Wayne and Liz work so hard in. Well done to all.

A wonderful amazing treasure trove of a place. Staff and volunteers are so helpful. I love the 3 free book concept but also I can pay for second hand books too. The bric a brac section has started many a upcycle project. Go with an open mind, time to mooch and you will come away with exciting books and items.

Always love calling by, books galore on every subject, bric a brac, jewellery, children's books & toys, super lovely staff too!

If you're a book lover, then what's not to like??? Probably best to take a list of what books /authors you might like to find as there are thousands to browse. In these days of rising prices and hundreds of other worries it makes your heart sing to be able to have three free books. The volunteer staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly.

A good idea to save books being put in to land fill. They have more books on every subject than our local library. If you use second hand books then its well worth a visit.

Sorry my donation was so rubbish today, owe you next time!! Thank you so much. You both do amasing things for the community.. and in keeping precious books out of landfill, best shop in Carmarthen by a mile.. See you soon!!!
