I've been here 4 or 5 times and it is a slightly weathered location but the staff are friendly and helpful, and if there are any issues with the lanes they have always been dealt with fairly.

This was a great venue to visit, where me and my friends felt welcomed upon walking in across the smooth, patterned carpet! The counter is very large and had been kept clean, where the staff were patient in allowing our session to start late when I explained to them that one of the group would be late and the seating is comfy. A cheap offer of £30 for a 1-hour bowling session of 6 people was cashed in on by us and also while waiting, I used the toilets that had cleanliness maintained. The bowling itself was fun on strobe-lit lanes, backed by a scoreboard above in an old school style and a speaker played music that really added to the atmosphere! Seating has an interesting shape and is separated properly for different lanes, similarly to how the bowls are in curved storage areas and the wall has interesting shapes for its design.

family visit 07/1/2023 we enjoyed the games but the venue is a total wreak the balls all have grove smashed out of the the lane have not been oiled in 20 years the approaches are wreaked rubbish all over the place the beer is rubbish dont think the lines have been cleaned a massive pile of used carpet thrown at the end last time i visited was 15 years ago when it was nice its not now and we will not be coming back the £8.50 a game would be fair if the lanes where good but they are not and when we asked for the bumpers to be put down we got there all up as there broken the arcade part same again broken machines a few give out tickets which would not be so bad if there was anything to be bought with them spend some money fixing the place up

We booked online in advance, paying £30 for an hour of bowling. After 30 minutes of playing, the game ended without warning and the lane shut down. When we asked staff, they claimed we had turned up early (untrue) and reluctantly agreed that we could finish the game. This would've taken 10-15 minutes, still not giving us the hour of bowling we had paid for. They had sent the next group to our lane who were impatiently waiting in our space and making it difficult to complete the game whilst also dealing with 2 hungry toddlers who we intended to feed during the hour. The staff member advised us to 'just finish the game and eat afterwards', completely missing the point. We were not offered the opportunity to complete the hour of bowling we had paid for or for the waiting family to be moved elsewhere. We will not be visiting again.

I should have realised where I was when I was stood looking up at the sign and lighting struck it and one of the letters swung from a hinge! Only joking. What's not funny is the state of this place. The reason the staff are nice is because people are willfully going in and paying their wages. I hate the whole 'the staff are nice bit' it isn't as if they are all in uniforms and smiling. You wouldn't know the difference between the staff and the patrons. The carpets are old and worn, they have a ticket prize system where 75% of the machines are in disrepair and the are no prizes to choose from with your tickets. Booked 2 games for me and my lady, and our daughter. Our daughter was super excited to go bowling but I think this place has changed her mind on the activity all together. We played 1 of the 2 games we paid for. The reason is our daughter lost interest and so did we. The bowling balls are all wrecked, the scoring system is like Teletext/ceefax from the 80/90's and the lanes looked like the hard shoulder on the M6. I felt like Snake Bliskin in Escape From Burnley! Don't bother going. You will spend money you shouldn't on rubbish and you will leave feeling mugged.
