Alta Costura Bride

My experience started when I went on an unplanned shopping trip with my mum and we were just looking at dresses from the rails. I went into a few shops (was understandably turned away by some as I didn't have an appointment) but I walked into Alta Costura and found the Kenneth Winston "Willow" dress on a mannequin. I fell in love instantly and although Lauren had an appointment booked for 10 minutes time with another bride, she kindly let me try it on (I was so eager I started removing clothes before I got to the dressing room - sorry everyone for that). I fell in love instantly. I booked an appointment to come back with the troops and I was measured. At first I was concerned with the size they were ordering worrying it was going to be too small, as I wasn't planning on losing weight. This is where I learnt to trust them as they know what they are doing as the dress arrived and it fitted so well with only very minor adjustments required on strap length and bust. Bella did my alterations and she was very professional and put me at ease straight away as the thought of someone cutting into your dress is very daunting. When I went to my final fitting appointment the dress fitted like a glove and I didn't want to take it off. Thank you to the team and especially thanks to Lauren and Bella for looking after me. I would recommend this as the first dress shop to go to in Maidstone.

Every girl dreams of her wedding day, I for one loved the idea of dressing up like a princess and marrying my Prince Charming. From the moment I walked in it was magical and I felt so emotional my dreams were coming true. I was made to feel so welcome, I had an idea of a dress I saw on the website so I tried that on and about 3 more and I actually fell in love with a different one i surprised myself and chose a blush dress. I felt on top of the world. The young lady brown hair helping me knew her stuff (sorry I forgot your name) she suggested a belt and my word it took that dress from 10 to an 11 definitely worth it. Also bought a stunning veil. Dress was an excellent price as well. Waited about 5 months for the dress which was normal and had my alterations appointment and was met by the friendliest lady (short dark hair) she was honestly so wonderful a real credit to your business just like the young lady who helped me find a dress so praise to them! My wedding day was so magical my dress got so many compliments and I felt so confident, comfortable and beautiful! Thank you so much Alta and team

I had such a lovely experience at Alta Costura.
It was the first time wedding dress shopping, so really I had no idea what to expect and what sort of dresses would suit me. The girls helped me pick out dresses and chose some for me to try on too - they were so patient with me and really helped me figure out what sort of dresses I will be searching for. A photo was also taken of me in every dress so I can cherish them in my phone and look back at them and the wonderful experience I had.
I will for sure be back & would recommend to anyone looking for their perfect dress

Absolutely amazing service from the moment I walked into the shop to try on my first wedding dress. The ladies are lovely, polite, supportive and patient as you desperately try to narrow down the choices. Based on my questionnaire, Lauren nailed the perfect dress before I even arrived and Ines did a wonderful job turning THE dress into MY dress. Now I can't wait for all my guests to see it!!

I had the most amazing time today finding my dress for my wedding abroad next year. Jo was so attentive and kind, I cannot recommend this shop enough. Thank you again and I cannot wait to pick up my beautiful dress. Thank you so much to all of the ladies in the shop for helping me find my dress! They are all so helpful and made me feel very comfortable. The seamstress also managed to transform my dress and made it fit perfectly. They managed to find me a matching veil too which I thought might be difficult as my dress was blush. I absolutely loved my dress on the day! I highly, highly recommend! 💜

What an amazing place. I had such an amazing experience. I am having a short notice wedding and being plus size I thought I was going to find the experience of finding a dress hard but not with this wonderful place. Found my dream dress and they have sorted everything for me. The staff are so lovely and welcoming can't thank them enough for all their help so far. Would highly recommend.
