What a wonderful, understanding lady Viv is. She listened to all my daughter wanted, drew up a plan and booked us in for selecting materials etc. So helpful and respectful of my daughter's needs, fully understood how important her wedding dress is to her. Can't wait for next Saturday to come! She makes having the dress made a truly exciting time.

We first met Val and Darren at the House of Couture, when they kindly took on the huge task of making alterations for our bridal party in 2017. The advice they gave was invaluable and Nothing seemed to be too much trouble, they made us all feel so welcome and special. They altered 4 bridesmaid dresses and made substantive changes for our very fussy flower girl’s dress. The gentlemen’s alterations consisted of 5 suits. Once the alterations were made, everyone looked amazing. Val measured us all up in our bridal wear and made the alterations in double quick time! We then went to try the bridal wear on again and she made me cry with excitement! The bridal party looked wedding ready and fantastic. Such a magical feeling.
I was very lucky to find them in Newport. The cost was very reasonable and workmanship was second to none! She kept us updated every step of the way and we can not recommend them enough! Darren and Val even steamed all of the brides made dresses, men’s suits and my two wedding dresses (I was so lucky to have a day and night dress). All completed the day before the wedding so we all looked extra special.

3 years later I returned for some advice, where could they recommend I get my wedding dresses cleaned? They offered this fantastic service too. It was quite a task, especially after 3 years of being stored away!! I had spilt a raspberry cocktail down the front of my day dress which I didn’t think would come out. When I turned up to collect the dresses, they looked brand new again. All steamed and hanging up beautifully.
The dresses were boxed in beautiful tissue paper ready to be stored.
We have arranged for the satin dress to be designed and made into a christening gown for our baby when we are able to all gather together again.

Val altered my wedding dress by taking up the length and adding more lace to the illusion back. It was absolutely perfect. She also made me a veil to wear and a face mask to match the dress with left over lace. She also made masks to match all of the suits. Such a lovely lady and always happy to help in any way she can. We had the most amazing experience here, the lady that owns it was very attentive, listened to my daughters requests and pulled out 6 amazing gowns, all very different but all the things she asked for, needless to say she ' said YES to the dress.
