To see the beauty of this bridge, you need to go down to the river and look up. However, u need to be careful as the currents are strong. Most people look at this bridge from the parallel road bridge that is down river.
There is even a small parking from where you can trek down, which takes about 5 minutes.
Go down but be careful as it can be slippery and savour this rare beauty !

It's a bridge. As far as bridges go, it's pretty nice. A smallish parking lot may make the stop tricky at busier times.

It's honestly worth a stop. The river is beautiful and refreshing ... not safe to swim in, but there are places to dip your feet to cool off. It seemed like perhaps a good setting off place for kayakers and the like. There were also a few walking trails that lead off into the local hills.

That said, don't expect facilities here. It's a nice bridge and a lovely place to relax, but not much else.

Terrific architecture and spectacular scenery, it must have been a challenge to build it 200 years ago

Another example of Thomas Telford’s which spans over the fast flowing river Spey.

Visited in December and the ramp leading up to the bridge was covered in ice!

On the opposite side to where we parked the car there were signs of recent rock falls so be careful!

Very beautiful! Unfortunately a family was allowing their kids to throw heavy rocks off the bridge into the water which ruined the vibe. Sad to see a couple of dead lambs that had fell into the water also 🥺

Beautiful place to see. A nice sandy beach, towering cliffs and the old cast iron bridge set in a fairy tale location. Definitely worth a visit
