National Trust - Telford Suspension Bridge

Conwy Suspension Bridge, a masterpiece in its time. Constructed in 1822 till 1826 by Thomas Tetford. It was an improvement of the Chester to Bangor road. The bridge is located next to Conwy Castle. It was a Toll Bridge. The location is a little bit strange for me, since you would expect it will run directly into the castle....but itsn't.
No entrance fee.

Really fantastic looking suspension bridge that is only used for pedestrians. Good views from inside the castle.

The history and architecture behind this is just amazing and of how it connects to the castle.

The bridge was awesome.. So beautiful. Never saw a suspension bridge connected to a castle earlier. Near the beach, there is a path to go and walk on this bridge. It's photogenic and lovely. With Castle on one side and sea beneath you. Highly recommend to go on it. It will take max 15-20min to go, enjoy the view and come back.

Great time out with my family, best to get there early as gets busy, lots of steps to top of castle but most have handrail. Parking is by phone app or Internet only. Staff are friendly and a little coffee shop in carpark.

Nice walk across the old bridge.
Ideal for an engineer to enjoy.
