We had a great brunch here...basically the big and standard breakfasts...both tasty . The staff were friendly and good at their jobs. It's dog friendly too, which is a good thing from our point of view. Highly recommended.

We stumbled to this place by mistake last June and loved it from day 1, now it was our second time in Portsmouth and we become regulars.
Fantastic place, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. We tried almost half of the stuff from the menu and we loved every single thing.
If in Portsmouth it's a must go for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner or just drinks and desert, everything on the menu you can't go wrong.
We're looking forward to visiting Portsmouth again just to come eat here.

Yummy mother daughter lunch. Quirky fun decor throughout. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. We had lounge breakfast swapping tomato for avocado and the teriyaki salmon salad. Recommend the homemade drinks also. Raspberry lemonade was nice and pretty appearance.

Stopped for an all day breakfast today, first visit here having not been to Southsea high street for ages.
Place was fairly busy but we had no problem finding a table. We ordered in the ap with no issues. Smashed avo and a flat white.
Coffee arrived quickly and was followed shortly after by the food. Avo was very tasty and well presented.
Overall a friendly place, a quirky interior and tasty food. On a warm day the frontage is open onto the Main Street with seating outdoors too. An interesting place worth a visit.

Pros: beautifully decorated and designed, feels very homely and stylish
I had the cherry bakewell cocktail and it was one of the best cocktails I've ever had, I came back a second time for that cocktail.
They allow dogs to sit on the couch which is very cute.

Cons: the second time me and my partner came for dinner and drinks.
- the service was terrible, the waitress was rude to us everytime we asked for something and she did her best to ignore us, despite the restaurant being empty.
- my food was terrible, I got 3 tapas (see pic). I had the worst driest chicken, really bad flatbread seemed to be a bought flatbread slightly warmed, gross potatoes, etc. It was simple food but they managed to make it really bad, to the point I felt sick. My partner's burger was ok.
- the price wouldn't be bad if the food would have been edible and the waitress would have been nicer.

In short. Come her for the atmosphere and drinks/coffee do not come here for dinner or 'proper' food

Lovely food, good value for money and friendly waitress. My only critic is a hard yolk. I prefer to have a runny yolk, but otherwise a very tasty meal

Sharing mine and my partner's experience from 18th July.

After all of the other pubs/bars were fully booked, we went here which wasn't too out of the way and you didn't have to book in advance.

We ended up going here for breakfast, dinner as well as drinks at the end of the night because our experience each time was exceptional!

I'd really recommend the pancake and bacon starter, as I'm not really a pancake fan, I fancied a change and wasn't disappointed!

Then went for the ultimate chicken burger and a sticky wing tapas plate for mains and this was just as nice with good presentation as well.

Finally for late night drinks, we tried the various cocktails they have on and some of them were amazing! Especially the "Cherry Bakewell" cocktail which tastes oddly exactly like the cake...

All in all, the staff were welcoming and always made sure you were happy, the service was good, the food was great and so were the drinks! Tempted to travel the 300 miles to Portsmouth just for this place again.

Well done team.
