Visited with friends for the first time on Thursday. Ordered off the lunchtime light bites menu & we were all really pleased with the food. The staff were lovely, friendly & helpful. The food was served quickly & was piping hot. Everything was really good quality & cooked to perfection. The 'proper' chips were amazing. Definitely going back again.

Good, honest pub food in a semi-rural setting. Our table for eight contained fussy eaters, but we're accommodated by choices from a wide menu. Well paced. Stand out service. Recommended.

Booked a table for 7.30 pm.
We were able to sit straight away.
A young girl came to the table (found out her name was Megan)
Ordered drinks...they took awhile.
We could see they were busy.
Megan came to take our food order and promptly explained they were busy and that she would make sure our order was in but it might take a little while.
I'm up from Cornwall visiting my father who lives in the village, and manage a bar restaurant myself.
Megan was extremely polite and kept us informed all the time.
So although food and drinks took awhile...we were told why.
Praise to Megan she was run off her feet but always had a smile on her face and looked after us.
When we got the food it was extremely tasty.

Fantastic Sunday lunch today for 4 adults, 2 children and a dog. Great menu - three fantastic roasts from the carvery, one fabulous sea bass, one delicious lasagna and one super spaghetti bolognese - six really happy diners! Staff were lovely, kind and helpful, genuinely enjoying their work and making our experience great. I’d visit again and would highly recommend.

Generous, tasty, great value carvery. Loads of succulent beef, rich gravy, plenty of perfectly cooked vegetables.
Thank you to the team for making us and our dogs really welcome.

Visited with family on Saturday night for a birthday celebration. The food was excellent. The girls waiting on the 10 of us were very friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble.
We will definitely be back again.

Delicious food. Friendly service. And a fantastic setting.

The piece de resistance has to be there's an actual Mill Wheel with actual water making it actually turn. And the rest of the place looks great too.

I had minted lamb steaks with mashed potatoes, garden peas and gravy.
Absolutely delicious and steaming hot food.
