I recommend Jack and his team extremely highly! After months of talking with many contractors we finally opted to go with JPB as his pricing was fair for the scope of work we required and based on inspection of his previous projects.

Having worked with various builders over the years there is clearly a distinction between his work and that of others! JPB converted a two-bedroom bungalow in which I lived in for over ten years into a four-bedroom house within seven months inclusive of demolition, excavation and rebuild of the new structure as well as finishing all aspects of the extension.

The quality of his workmanship was exceptional with a highly skilled and experienced professional team for every aspect of the build from plastering, plumbing, carpentry to tiling to a very high level. I made numerous amendments to the plans and he was always understanding and patient through this process. He always communicated extra cost before works were carried out therefore there were no surprises. Additionally, Jack was always on site ensuring he achieved the best quality … to be honest he is a perfectionist!

We have now been back in the property for about 6 months. Friends and family are still surprised with what has been achieved and the quality of the work, not to mention every estate agent who came to revalue the house took his details! I would like to take this opportunity to thank JPB Lofts & Extension Ltd for building a place I could call home for the family. Honestly, if I had to do this all over again or any other project my first point of call would be JPB.

We have the most amazing loft and kitchen extensions thanks to Jack and his team at JPB Lofts. They were absolutley fantastic. I had a builder lined up for the work, the fact I wasn't actually allowed to meet the architect should have been a red flag but then I realised the answer to everything was 'no'. No you cannot lift the roof, no you cannot have double cupboards under the eaves.. etc etc. He was basically a cheapskate builder - ordering everything en mass and making sure all clients had the same to keep costs down. I was really uneasy when I also read bad reviews, so I ended the contract and lost money. Jack was a breath of fresh air. He sat down and discussed everything - lifting the ridge - no problem, of course you can have double cupboards under the eaves... but he was also able to explain why some on my more bonkers asks wouldn't work - rather than the flat no.The build was good - not the dust and builders in the house which was normal - but the fact that it was on time and on budget the whole way. His team were polite, respectful and tidy ! They always made sure the place was tidy at the end of each day. They also made sure noise and inconvience was kept to minimum for neighours, not easy an easy task. The benefit of JPB Lofts is that they employ the whole team - there are no extra costs but also they manage the plumber, the joiner and the tiler so you are not trying to coordinate a bunch of trades who will envitably want to be onsite at the sametime. Jack dealt with all that. He was also on hand to discuss everything - no waiting six days for a builder to get back to you. He went out of his way to help - if I wanted to make a change he often did it as part of the cost (where it made sense and was reasonable) whereas I am sure Mr Cheapskate would have had a 1000 reasons not to. I cannot recomend this builder and his team enough - it would be ten stars from us. The proof of the pudding was when the friend who had recommended Mr Cheapskate came back to see the finished loft and burst into tears... 'but I was told I couldn't have those, and those and do that..'.. Thank you JPB Lofts !!

With a busy household of 4 children a puppy and working from home, we can honestly say our build was a dream, it had zero impact to the family or work-life.
Jack was always available to talk and answer any queries, he kept us informed throughout the build of what stage was next and who to expect and when, his team were great and left the work space safe and tidy each day! They were always so friendly, polite and hardworking with great knowledge and are a real credit to Jack. We are so pleased with the final result! Best decision for us and we wouldn't hesitate to contact Jack again in the future for any more building work/ home improvements!

Nowadays, it is not often that you want to sit down and genuinely allocate some time to write a review just because you are happy with someone's work. But it is the case with JPB. It was mine and my wife's first building project (loft extension) so obviously we were slightly concerned about everything. We did a comprehensive research on many building companies and narrowed the search to 7, including some large and well-known ones in London. From all of them we have selected JPB after talking to Jack, who was very open, honest and straightforward. He didn't want, or try, to "hard sell" anything and we felt that he just gets things done as they should be. We have a view over the park so our priority was to have large glass openings. Many companies quoted insanely high prices for that but Jack found a good solution/compromise with a fair price. During the works we had fantastic crews working to the highest standards. The guys were polite and friendly and having them around didn't interfere with our daily life. We also changed our ideas/plans a few times about some details of the project. It was never an issue for Jack who was always very proactive, understanding and open for discussion. We would certainly recommend JPB for anyone wanting to do any building work. We are planning another project in the future and for sure we will contact them again.

My wife and I couldn’t recommend Jack and his team highly enough. This was our first ever foray into building works and after several months of research, speaking to multiple builders and going to visit some past JPB clients, we decided to go with him and haven’t regretted it once. The quotes were not only very competitive but were detailed and transparent, with no hidden extras and any additional costs along the way discussed in advance and also very reasonable.

JPB converted our loft into a beautiful new bedroom with en-suite shower room as well as a large single storey rear extension comprising of a huge open plan kitchen diner, utility room and new downstairs WC.

The quality of the work was superb. Jack’s own core team dealt with all the demolition and build with specialist tradesmen coming in for plumbing, roofing, plastering, tiling and carpentry work. At first we were a little dubious that so much work was being ‘subbed’ out but we soon realised that Jack has carefully selected these guys and they seem to work almost exclusively with Jack, probably because he is honest, straightforward and great to work with. Moreover, Jack was always available to discuss any issues or queries, to the extent we wondered when he ever slept. He acted quickly when we had any issues and we even had direct numbers for all of his tradesmen so we could speak to them directly.

As this was our first build, we had countless questions and made many amendments along the way. Jack was not only patient and keen to ensure we understood and were happy with the process but went above and beyond, often coming up with suggestions and alternatives that we hadn’t even thought of – and the final result is so much better for it!

Jack clearly values his customers and treats the project as if it’s his own home. A previous client who we visited before contracting Jack told us that she was sad to see the team leave her home after a 4 month build. My wife and I found this hard to believe after hearing so many horror stories about London builders. However, it’s safe to say that although we don’t miss the sound of multi-tools and drills we really miss having the boys around the house. Jack is not only a great builder but he’s genuine, honest and trustworthy and isn’t just in it for the money. Quite frankly he went over and above for us and cares about his reputation which is the kind of person you want to hire. Not only have we found the builder we want for any future projects but we’ve found a friend that we hope we’ll stay in touch with.

I can't recommend this firm highly enough! We had previously had a very bad experience with a loft conversion, so were really nervous about this project at our new house.

From the first meeting, Jack was brilliant. He was knowledgeable, patient and professional - happy to explain everything really clearly and answer our many questions. The week before the work started we sat down and talked through how everything was going to work, when we would need to order things like the bathroom suite and what conversations we would need to have with the Electrician and the Plumber.

Once on site, Jack's team and the other trades that worked here were all lovely - really considerate, tidy and careful. Our neighbours commented on how decent they all were. They went out of their way to make sure our lives weren't disrupted too much, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone and everything arrived when Jack said they would, the whole job was extremely well organised.

There were a couple of changes to the plans as the project went on - Jack dealt with these brilliantly, giving us different options and advising us well. He is very knowledgeable in his trade, and I really felt like he was giving options that he would have considered for his own home.

We are so happy with our new loft, we will definitely be working with JPB again for our future projects.
