I wanted to hire a vacuum cleaner for one day, assuming this would be fairly simple. The initial hire process took 45 minutes, for what should be very straightforward. A deposit was taken from my card, it was quite a significant sum for a vacuum cleaner but still, I can understand they need to cover their backs. I was taken outside and the "vaccum cleaner" was put into the boot of my car. When I got home, I realised rather quickly that I had been given a dust extractor. I called the store and they said they would drop the correct item off to my flat, no explanation, no apology. Almost two hours later, the new item turned up, this time it was indeed a vacuum cleaner. Hurrah. Unfortunately, no attachments. Not a single one. And entirely useless for the job at hand. I sent it back and was told the manager would call. Thanks Jewsons. You've wasted two hours of my day and I'm left with a job which is not done. And did the manager call, of course not. AVOID.

Tried hirig a compactor, first visit was at 10am. I was told it would arrive at lunch and would receive a call.

Recieved no call back, had to chase them on the phone. Kept being told I would be called back, tried again at 2pm. Again I was told I would get a call back, but nothing happened.

Finally, 40 minutes before they closed I was told (after having chased them again, they did not bother to call) that the compactor was broken and I couldn’t get one today; no one called us at any point.

The final call they told me I hadn’t mentioned it was for today.

Incredibly bad service.

I would suggest for everyone to keep away from this place. Very unprofessional and agressive yard staff. Not willing to help at all and talk to you in agressive way. Very unprofessional. Please keep away if you can

Absolutely 5 star service. I need to give gratitude to Martin who advised me on the correct SDS drill for my drilling needs. He went out of his way to reserve the drill for weekend collection and gave sound advice on fitting a ground anchor. He even pre charged the drill for for me.
