Have a captive audience with the nearest alternative a good half an hour drive in Maldon. Horrendously expensive for the DIYer. £13 for a bag of Mortar mix vs £7.80 from Wickes. Service good, in that they will carry things to your car, but once it's in there you feel obliged to pay the ridiculous prices. My own fault for leaving myself with no other option.

Excellent local branch of the national chain. Knowledgeable staff ready to help, good stock range. Excellent Covid 19 precautions including clear signposting to remind to wear mask in the shop, clear one way system and comprehensive perspex screens at the counter.
