Visited today - what helpful staff at the Altami site. Unable to get 12" wide softwood anywhere, guys in yard suggested plywood and managed to source an offcut because to much waste on full sheet. Great customer service.

We had a delivery early morning on the 1st April. The driver was amazing nothing was to much trouble for him. I have tried to email to praise the driver as I suffer with anxiety but made me feel at ease. 5*****

Don’t get a bathroom suite from this company! The nightmare started when they delivered our bathroom & the van hit our house & it went down hill from there!
They gave us a damaged shower base with the waste in the wrong position!
The shower enclosure was the wrong one!
The power shower had no pump!
There was no tile adhesive, grout or spacers!
They sent a towel rail instead of a radiator.
The sink base unit was the wrong colour & when the replacement arrived it was damaged!
This was supposed to be a turnkey package they obviously don’t know what you need to build a bathroom?
I asked for a site visit & was told by the branch manager that he didn’t have the time.
I escalated my issue with one of the directors to discuss compensation as their personal performance & that of their suppliers meant that I had to pay our builder 2 extra days labour he told me was against company policy to compensate?
In their defence they did correct & replace the damaged items & I have used the rest of their branch for a couple of years now without any issues, they were excellent in the pandemic.
Beware of using their bathroom department to price a job as my project has now gone £1000 over budget & counting!!

I would just like to write and tell you how impressed I am with Thorncliffe in Alltami, from speaking to your sales counter people for quotes and advice, to delivery services I’ve received and more recently skip hire.

I am just so pleased with the level of service I have received and want to thank each of you for this and hope my feedback reaches the relevant people (sadly I do not have names).

Thorncliffe Building Supplies are very helpful and deliver free locally. They are well stocked with a wide selection of building supplies. They are consistently the best for price. Always my first port of call for building and garden supplies. The timber sales are in a separate yard across the (internal) road, which now has a new sales and shop building.
