Alcumus

We have been a SAFEContracor client for a few years now and have always found the service to be excellent. However this year they have introduced a new system where you can get your assessment looked at within 5 days of it being completed for an extra charge. We did not opt for this as we are a small business. We sent our completed information at the end of July. I chased the report on Monday 22/08/2016 only to be told that they are running behind because increased demand and that our assessemnt would not be looked at for at least 6weeks maybe 8. The reason being all upgraded clients get priority, anyone else then gets pushed to the back of the queue. I feel we are being blackmailed into purchasing the priority fast track premium just to get our results back in a reasonable time.

I have been with them for 4 years. NOT by choice, but customer led request. Their "new improved streamlined system" will not allow my company to even get past the first page. Rang for support...No one available as EVERY MEMBER OF SAFECONTRACTOR IS ON TRAINING TODAY. Emailed for support and they need 48 hours to reply! They gave their customers no warnings of NO SUPPORT on their email they sent, requesting completion the questionnaire. If there was an alternative, I'd use it.

Appalling customer service, no contact from them apart from when your audit is due and they want an invoice paying. Given static dates and locations that were simply impossible for the business to accommodate at the time due to clients.

I am currently contracting with Alcumus at their Cardiff office and thoroughly enjoy my time with them. Cutting edge technologies, good team spirit and the company management have a strong set of values that are demonstrated throughout. Team work brings an air of positivism. Their events are great and wish them all the very best in their future endeavours.

Alcumus have taken a real dive in terms of service they provide. They clearly don't value small business and I'd recommend all small businesses avoid at all costs. I hold 5 accreditations across 2 businesses and have recently found them to be prejudicial to my businesses having deregister one due to lack of surveillance caused in most part to their inability to provide an auditor. A solution had been found to cover while we migrated to another provider, which they promptly renaged on while we were in the process of booking audit dates that all parties involved could make. This came as a blindside and with no warning. On my other business they gave me 10 days warning of suspending my account due to a minor non conformance which was stated on the audit form that the surveyor would check at the next audit. They actually sent the suspension letter while I was away and then retracted after I showed them that their own surveyor didn't want to see this until the next audit. I've been with Alcumus for a number of years now going back to when they were previously Isoqar. I would not recommend them in their current form. I'd have been happy to years ago. I've heard a number of stories of them deregistering other businesses due to no longer supporting the accreditations held by clients. This is hugely prejudicial to any business so I'd consider this point seriously if you were to consider Alcumus.
