I have lived in Cheriton for over four years and didn't even know that we had a butchers until a couple of weeks ago! It is further out of the main high street than most of the other popular shops. So this is probably why. The staff were very friendly when I went in and were also very helpful. The meat is of a good quality

Excellent, personal service with locally sourced produce. The great thing about a local butcher is that they can tell you where all of their stock comes from, so you can be reassured that every animal was produced with extremely high welfare standards, including at slaughter which is very important. In this case, the meat is sourced within Kent, lowering food miles and supporting Kent farmers. The meat is reasonably priced while still ensuring that all involved are paid fairly. Finally, you can bring your Tupperware, and reduce on plastic waste too!

I watch how to cook steaks online, all the time! I wanted to try true dry aged beef on the bone. I was given great advice & ended up with the best steak I have eaten in my life. If you think meat is better in a supermarket, think again. I recommend you try it for yourself.

I Don't think you would find a better Butcher than Dave. Really knows his stuff.He is worth every penny he is paid.Hope the owners realise. Keep the quality of meat up.
