Disappointing stay - one we would not recommend. Cabins are poorly maintained and are not like the website photographs. Our cabin was dirty with rotten wooden work surfaces. The kitchen crockery all had to be re-washed. Expect to get nothing - no cleaning products, washing up liquid, or dishwasher tablets etc. We spent the first evening shopping for cleaning products and cleaning the kitchen. Leaking shower, water damage, smelt of damp, dog hairs in the bed & very uncomfortable beds. Unfortunately, it seems like the cleaning staff don't have the time to really spend looking after the spaces. Not the high end forest experience we had expected. Beautiful location, and great to explore the Forest of Dean, but the quality and cleanliness of the cabins let the whole experience down. Not worth the money.

Cabin was beautiful and in a stunning location although the hot tub did not work the first night and there was a hen do in two adjacent cabins that kept us all awake until early hours with no joy from calling staff to complain three times. We are also still waiting to hear back from the manager because of our dissatisfaction- it's been three weeks.

Mini break with friends, really amazing location with great hiking trails. Accommodation was lovely and as expected, the hot tub was lovely and warm for when we arrived. Would really like to highlight the outstanding customer service - the staff really go out of their way to help. A special mention to Ellie, who helped find a slot for afternoon tea even though it was fully booked - you made our afternoon 😊.

Our experience was of a fantastic time. Very relaxing with very lovely people looking after things. You cannot go anywhere else to find a chilled out place. From having meals delivered to drinking prosecco in the hot tub.. Our only concern is that the hot tub lid/cover could have been in a better condition .but saying that the water was lovely and warm. We did not want to leave. Thank you forest holidays.

Loved this Forest Holidays break. Six of us stayed in a 3 bed golden oak. It was my first time here but have stayed at 3 of the other forest holidays sites. The cabin was nice and toasty with the underfloor heating. Beds were comfortable. We saw lots of wildlife, ordering was easy through the TV and the hot tub in winter was divine. The forest looked stunning in the snow. We are already looking to re-book for next year. Would recommend

A utter lack of water slides, cartoon characters dressed as humans, zip slides, pancake houses and endless check in processes.

Within two minutes only saw seven types of birds. Sadly they don’t train the squirrels to delivery the morning paper.

It’s the perfect relaxing chilled place to be despite no background motorway, emergency sirens and other brown noise pacifying the social media swamped brain!

If you’re considering staying here, think carefully how relaxed you’re going to be at the end and what you need to restore yourself to the manic non-Forest of Dean calmness.

Lovely break in a spacious cabin, we had 1 year old who loved the play area and walks in the forest. The cafe was really good too, great breakfast. Would return!

Just amazing. Our second time, last year being Scotland. This was a little closer to home.

The cabin was amazing, clean and warm. Reception was really welcoming.

In the cabin was some complimentary prosecco, mince pies, coffee, nuts and a real Xmas tree was waiting for us.

The hot tub was hot and clean and wood burner worked wonderfully. The scenery and trails was just so relaxing and breath taking. The dog was living his best life!

The BBQ ran out of gas at 6pm on Xmas eve, we phoned reception on the off chance and within minutes the gas was replaced and I was cooking again! Staff were polite and ver helpful.

It definitely made Xmas a little more special and memorable!
