I was out on a ride and decided to call in today for a pit stop.
The staff were really welcoming and couldn't do enough for me. I ordered coffee and a tea cake then noticed some flap jack. The flap jack would have come in handy for later on my ride but the portion was too big. I asked if they had any smaller ones but they didn't...so she cut it in half and shared it with me and split the cost. Can't say fairer than that.
I went to sit outside and one of the girls came outside to take my water bottle and fill it up, I said it didn't matter and I would do it but she insisted.
Pleasant and helpful staff serving nice cafe food in a clean and well presented cafe.
I'd definitely recommend.

Saturday 2/4/22 1pm. 2 Adults 2 children. We had a lovely experience here. Lovely friendly staff. Simple food done well. I ate delicious tomato & basil soup with warm crusty bread. Others had cheese toasties which which were also great and a tuna baked potato. Will definitely go again on our way to the Lakes!

Great cafe, Coffee and scrambled eggs were spot-on. Staff are very polite and welcoming. It’s actually got a wood burning stove which is perfect and clean from the cold ! A must visit if you’re in the area.

Myself and my partner enjoyed cheeseburgers with chips with drinks. Service was provided by a couple of ladies who were very helpful and friendly. The food was served quickly without lacking in the quality. Burgers was cooked to perfection, very tasty, at a very reasonable price. 2 cheeseburgers, chips and side salad, can of diet coke and latte came to under £20.( bargain)

I thought I'd write a review that doesn't involve breakfast! Though it seems from the other reviews and the menu that cooked breakfast is the main reason to come here.
I came here with my elderly mum as we were visiting a shop in Helifield and decided to have our lunch out.
Mum had soup and I had a cheese & tuna toastie. They were good. Nothing fancy. We shared a pot of decaf tea and a slice of cake. This café is good for a light bite but, unless you wanted a big breakfast, you'll not find a range of hot meals.
Service is very good and food is reasonably priced!
