Lock Stop Cafe

Lovely spot at the highest point of the Leeds Liverpool canal. Small car park, canal users' loos nearby, benches next to the canal, good range of snacks & drinks.

Cafe gone downhill. Lady serving not over pleasant. Only sell drinks, cake now. No savoury as before when a lovely person had it. A shame

Woman serving was not nice, grumpy. Cake dry, wont be going again, this place has gone down hill

Use this facility regularly but always found the lady grumpy and unsociable, this morning, waited to be served but got completely ignored whilst she talked to her neighbour, not cafe related or serving, waited a while but still no acknowledgement so I just turned around and walked away, and still no response from her. Use to enjoy calling here for a mid walk rest, but having put up with stale cakes, lukewarm drinks and ignorance service, this establishment will not get 1p from me until a change of ownership

Great food and a decent cup of Yorkshire tea. Next to a small car park and beside Greenberfield Locks, this is a super place to stop, grab something to eat and drink, and site beside the Leeds & Liverpool canal. It is very close to the top lock so watching boats going up and down in the locks is also an option. Staff were very friendly and willing to have a chat about anything.

Brilliant place to start or pause for refreshments. No toilets? . Still wellworth a visit

I came to the Lock Stop Cafe at midday on my birthday with my partner on our bikes. In the evening my partner took me as a surprise to a fancy restaurant. So?
We both agree that the Lock Stop Cafe was much nicer, a nice variety of home made delicious sandwiches, nice cakes, nice location and very friendly and kind couple who run the cafe.

Lovely little cafe. Stopped for a coffee, sandwich and cake. Friendly service and great food. Will definitely stop by again!
