Café Destino

Not a particularly friendly establishment, coffee quality is poor compared to that available over on platform 1. Food is bland, bacon rolls whilst fresh are dripping in grease with horrible sweet bread and everything's overpriced.

Rude. Min card chargr despite inflated prices. Go to the M&S instead.

Not sure why this place has attracted such negative reviews? I've used this cafe...albeit very small...several times and apart from being a wee bit slow, I found the staff friendly and welcoming. Surprisingly cheap, considering its station location and with both internal and external tables and chairs...a nice place to enjoy your coffee or tea before catching your train. Serves the usual station catering fare, in the form of sandwiches, crisps etc.

Additionally, they are open from 06:30 which is brilliant if you're travelling early.

The staff are never friendly and can often be quite rude. Coffee is a lot better in the M&S just metres away inside the station.
Customer services courses required for the staff me thinks.

Quick service, just what is required when your train is coming!

Tried to get a coffee from the station side platform 2 At 14:55 on 25/1/2019. I rang the bell and could see the lady working was making 2 pannanis and assumed she'd be over to let me know she would be a couple of minutes.

After waiting some time and not as much of a look in my direction I rang the bell again, expecting her to turn around.

Still nothing after another few minutes, decided it wasn't worth the hassle.

Absolute abysmal customer service, couldn't even get a coffee. Get some decent staff who actually want to work and dont ignore their customers.

I understand if you are doing something then you will be waiting a couple minutes until you are serverd but not so much as a look in my direction or a quick " I will be 2 minutes" is appauling.

Won't bother trying next time I stop here.

Don't ever buy a hot chocolate from here. It tastes like hot milk with some brown food colouring. Not a hint of chocolate flavour. Milk barely even frothed. Yuk.

Not the cheapest coffee shop but theyre making good sandwiches and banging cookies 😁😋
