My favorite place for having an ice cream on a hot Summer day or enjoying hot chocolate filled with marshmallows and whipped cream/tea on a cold Winter day. Either way, I really love this coffee place and it's very close to our home which is clearly a bonus! 😊

Love the Boat house. Great hot chocolate. Lovely coffee and Marshfield Ice creams! Dog friendly. Perfect to meet friends, taje the kids after school, bird watching and if course, boating... But watch out for George, the highly protective daddy Swan on the lake.

Friendly service. Good quality coffees at a reasonable price. Worth stopping off on a walk round Pittville Park.

There was a small mix up after booking 2 boats (due to a small wait) the guys went above and beyond to rectify the problem! Honestly above what they needed to! Highly recommend! Lovely staff, ice-cream and location!

I love this place! Fantastic service from lovely staff. If you haven't sat inside the boathouse itself you are missing out as it has loads of character. Whether its ice cream, cake, coffee, tea or a boat ride, you wont be disappointed.

Lovely little place to have a snack and hide out the back it's a shame it isn't heated but they do provide blankets and books for children!

Your volunteers Chris and simone (as much as they are doing a fantastic job) are rude and too intrusive. If people intend on volunteering then please keep the peace. My 3 year old son, my partner who is disabled and also my future brother in law who is 14 (also my future cousin in law who has adhd but was approached on a separate day) all had enough upset. It was my sons first time fishing today and as soon they arrived to do a bite check they had to leave because of this unnecessary behaviour. My family routinely fish in at pittville lake and it is a form of leisure therapy for my partner.

I get that you must be frustrated with the amount of lines, hooks and lures that you find but in all honesty if you knew us you'd know that we are too. You'd also know that we often go to the park to search for lures and lines and remove litter from the lake aswell as magnet fishing to remove larger debre that could cause harm to the wildlife. Rudeness gets you no-where a polite word is more than enough so please be more considerate next time.

Obviously I can't fault the boathouse for their behaviour as they weren't responsible. We always have a good experience with the boat house and the lake is teaming with perch and roach aswell as a cheeky pike or too. The price is good and they offer a concessionary fishing pass which is 4.20.

As the boathouse may or may not know we usually fish for a bit until either the van comes by or we go to get something to drink and buy the passes then. On this particular day my family could do neither as felt threatened due to the circumstances.

We will be back as this spot is definitely one of our favourites with it being so local and relatively safe for the children. However we would appreciate it if the volunteers only speak to us kindly in the future and not with false accusations or enforcement of rules that don't apply to licence holders.

We absolutely love this place. The best ice cream (Marshfield, my favourite), my daughter plays endlessly on the tree right by the Boathouse. The boat hire is back on, so could go out for a lovely row.
