Fabulous brunch and lovely staff. Highly recommend a visit. The avocado and cannellini beans on sourdough were so fresh and delicious.

Grabbed a bite to eat here on Sunday, ordered the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel and the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs bagel with a side of halloumi. For drinks we had the fresh grapefruit juice and hot chocolate. Should've stopped there but since it was the weekend we thought we'd treat ourselves to a slice of chocolate cake and lemon slice.

The food was decent but we could've skipped the halloumi and the desserts, wasn't as good as we'd hoped. Whilst the staff were lovely, the service was slow, we weren't in a rush but the cafe wasn't particularly busy either. Nonetheless, we had a nice little lunch date.

Stopped for a coffee and had hoped to grab some breakfast as well. Sadly the food was going to be a 30-40 minute wait so we didn’t wait. I guess it’s due to being short staffed and not having enough hands as service was a little slow. Coffee was good though and we grabbed some tasty cakes to go.

Lovely atmosphere. Very nice cup of tea and slice of cake. We visited close to closing time but they also have a very good lunch menu, sandwiches and toasties etc, so will visit again.

Super nice cafe with good breakfast and sandwich menu. The oat milk cappucino was really good. Nice tea too. Selection of cakes. Polite, friendly staff. The loos were fine, clean.

Overall a pretty good experience only slight niggle was the bacon ciabatta with bacon tomatoe chutney and greens.

This weighed in at close to £5 however it only contained two rashers of bacon, which for ref were perfectly cooked, some relish and one lettuce leaf this, to me seems a tad steep.

That being said service was spot on, the coffee was great, although only having two non dairy options is a tad limiting, and the food was darn tasty!

A welcoming Sandgate drop-in run by hard-working and charming young staff. Though facing the main road rather than the sea, Loaf is a reliable and very popular local breakfast, coffee rendezvous, appreciated by the stream of local regulars queuing. Delicious sourdough bread and fresh orange juice are great indicators of quality. Just moved here, we'll become local regulars soonest!
