Cafe Melange

Went there for lunch. Waited about 40 minutes to be served but we weren't in a rush and the atmosphere is good. Food was delicious and cheap.
Noise level: okay. Jazz music, maybe a bit loud but it's a small, cozy room so definitely autism friendly.
As a Parisian, the decoration in the café is hilarious (basically random shots of Paris). We liked it.

I would like to start by saying this is by far the best cafe I have ever been to ! The atmosphere was amazing the staff were so friendly it’s by far 5* and above. Me and my family came to Dover for a day trip and one of the locals recommended this cafe for us. The food was amazing. We had an amazing experience I would highly recommend cafe melange.

I wasn’t an easy customer as I didn’t have my morning coffee yet 😝 but the folks here were phenomenal. Super flexible, patient (with me), and great listeners.

I had coffee and breakfast here.

The coffee (my order= flat white + almond) you can tell was made on good coffee bean blend. It was not bitter or burnt as most coffee shops have when it is low quality; instead here the quality was high and it was very rich and creamy. It instantly got rid of my morning crankiness 😂. Additionally, for the price, the size was perfect. Worth the money.

I also couldn’t make my mind between pancakes and eggs and the server was super sweet and let me customize my order to add both. It really made my day. The pancakes were fluffy and soft with the right amount of maple syrup. It was topped with banana and lastly with slices of ham. It was the perfect blend of salt and sweet which my palate was in the mood for. (Picture included).

The restroom is very clean and makes you feel like you are in a high class restaurant with it’s nice smelling soap and lotion. Honestly the only thing that I wouldn’t be surprised if it was added would be mouth wash 😆.

The only negative side of the place is the annoying/bad street performer on the other side of the street 😂 which isn’t affiliated with this place. Therefore if he is playing the a day you come make sure to sit inside. The restaurant does a great job drowning out the annoyance with some nice relaxing elevator music.

In summary, 100% recommend as a Dover breakfast spot.

I'd like to keep this to myself but the team who run the Cafe Melange deserve to be praised. It is a lovely little coffee shop, easily missed when walking through Dover town.

The coffee is fresh and tasty, with a great selection, including iced choices. There are plenty of other drinks too.

The breakfasts are delicious, with all the usual choices plus poached eggs, salmon and avocado. It's a definite yes from me.

The cafe is located in the center of Dover and has a good selection of drinks and foods. The portions are a bit small and the pancakes appeared to not be freshly made. I’d still say it’s worth a visit to have a nice breakfast.

Lovely little french inspired cafe, nice staff and nicely decorated environment.
The alternative bacon is really nice and my mushrooms were delicious.

A lovely little cafe/restaurant. Not your typical cafe you get in town especially dover! Lots of variety and the food is absolutely delicious... the times I have been I didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive and it was lovely and hot. The owners are also very nice and welcoming. There's a really good atmosphere. I have had the poached eggs and ham on toast. The seafood linguine is VERY tasty! The sharing platter was also 👌 highly recommend xx

Was looking for somewhere a little different for lunch and found this new gem. Great atmosphere, lovely staff, and the food was amazing! So fresh and tasted amazing. We can't wait to go back and try something else from the menu. Will be a regular stop for us now
