Lakeside Cafe

30+ minute wait for food. Multiple dishes were served tepid, a pasta bake was just cold puree over tepid pasta. We raised this with the manager who only offered us a voucher. When I said I didn't feel that was an appropriate resolution, he then offered a partial cash refund from the staff tips.
Not sure what annoyed me more, the quality of food and service, or that I had to explain to the manager that stealing his staffs tips was grossly inappropriate.
Very disappointing experience.

Really lovely refurb, lovely (little) soft play, feels really spacious and light, food and drinks great and it's lost that 'greasy' smell I used to notice! Will be frequenting for sure! Gorgeous views over the lake from the balcony.

Great place for a coffee, hot chocolate or tea. The food looks good too. LIke the new wooden table and chairs outside on the terrace. I need to mention the service, which is very good, they do a very good job, well done ladies. Also the inside tots play area is ok too.

Terrible. If you have to queue you’ll be given plenty of time to see what a badly managed cafe looks like. From joining the queue to getting a coffee took me 25 minutes. They’re not even short of staff. What they’re short of are experienced staff who can work as a team. If it weren’t for the location and lack of competition they’d go bust.

Had a cup of tea after a Parkrun today. It was busy (as you'd expect) but we didn't have to wait too long and there was table service too.

Prices are no more expensive than a normal coffee shop so I don't really understand the complaints about prices.staff also seem friendly.

An improvement might be an increased menu size.

Food ok. Drinks ok. Staff attentive and helpful. Small ball pit for toddlers. External seating for warmer days. Open all year. Great facilities in the middle of a great park.

Limited menu, pretty expensive it's changed since last time I was there, we had bacon sausage and hash brown wrap, food was OK but, lovely coffee and though

Fun place for all. great Place for relaxing whilst having a coffee and a quick bite to eat. staff are really Polite and very helpfull.
