What a warm welcome we got from this lovely cafe in Preston. Great cake and coffee/tea, and an amazingly friendly couple running the cafe. We stopped on our way on multiway ride from John O'Groats to Lands End and this was one of our favourite stops. Thanks again Cafe Sweet Dreams.

Today I went into this cafe for the first time. I am new to the area and thought it looked friendly. As I spoke to the tall dark haired male behind the counter he seemed to be in a bad mood. I asked for the mega breakfast but without the tomato, mushrooms and beans. I have autism so I find it hard to eat foods of these textures. He said that’s ok but gave a comment of “well that’s half hour breakfast there!” In an annoyed tone. I don’t understand why he was annoyed, I still paid full price for the breakfast and they used less resources so I wasn’t sure. I tried to lighten the mood by telling the man I was new to the area, to which he replied rudely, “good for you!” A nice elderly woman brought out my food from the kitchen and was a lot more polite and nice and was glad that I had informed for that I couldn’t eat the foods I requested to not receive. As she returned to the kitchen she politely gave instructions to the previous male staff member to make sure the tables are kept neat and I witnessed his turn away from her and mumble something under his breath. Apart from the way this staff member treated me the nice woman and tasty food was enjoyable.

Best little cafe this side of the equator. Lovely tasty food and beautiful people. 10/10. xx love it. Tried the all day breakfasts, the pies, the chilli& rice or chips. All tasty and even better great value and wonderful assortment of coffees. You won't be disappointed.

I just wanted a quick lunchtime snack and asked for one of my favourites, Chips and Gravy. there was a little bit of a wait but was it worth it just for the chips. real proper chips not frozen chips, the best I've ever had. The owners of fancy restaurants that I've been in should go to this cafe to learn how to cook and serve proper chips mmm
