We called in today, more by accident than anything we were greeted with a welcome smile and very accommodating staff who promptly seen us to a table..I must say The food was gorgeous.. we had the eggs benedict and a lovely home made soup and tuna sandwich.. all very reasonably priced.. will definitely call again.. only next time it will be on purpose ..can't wait 😉👍

Visited Hugo cafe bar for the first time today for an early lunch. The place was very busy and the atmosphere was relaxed. The service was good although it took a while for our meals to arrive but I suppose it was freshly cooked. Portion sizes was good and prices reasonably . I'd definitely go there again as the food was good. If you're in Burscough pop in .👍🏻

Best place around locally. Fantastic menu choice and the food is high quality. Staff are very welcoming and friendly and are happy to accommodate any requests. Highly recommended Hugo's.

Been a couple of times. It's very clean and friendly. I like that they let dogs in. I've had a pot of tea which felt really weak. I think it was made with a one-cup bag. I also had a small pot of chips, which were very hot and crispy. Only salt for the chips (would have benefitted from vinegar and maybe a little sauce) On both occasions it was packed and I was dying for a drink so I just lived with it, which is my fault. I did think £6.50 is was a little steep for a drink and a handful of chips though, even if they were lovely. Colleagues said their food was nice too. Parking is a downside, took us ages to get parked. Also only one loo in the place so there is always a queue for it, so don't leave it till you're busting!!! I was on a work break so more interested in speed, but nice place to meet friends for a relaxed brew.

I only had a tuna sandwich that came with fries and extremely watery coleslaw but was very bland, no flavour and the white bread was so thick so just like eating a huge chunk of bread. wasn't asked at all by staff if everything was OK.
yes its good to have dogs in there, I'm pet friendly and have my own but when someone's dog is screeching and howling for the whole hour you're in there and the owner does nothing, you would expect staff to say something for the comfort of other guests. not a relaxing lunch, food was nothing special so I wouldn't recommend or return here especially when there are better places close by that are cheaper and more tasty.

Went here today with my Mum and Dad. Great location in the heart of Burscough village with friendly and professional staff and great food! I recommend the scampi and chips as the chips in particular were gorgeous! Highly recommended! :)
