Great place to have a coffee or bite to eat whilst visiting Keele University

I've always thought the Chancellors Cafe is a great place to have coffee, and the staff there are amazing, always friendly and hard working. However, something changed recently, since the beginning of this term: the quality of coffee -- the coffee has become much weaker, and for most part tastes like powder coffee. A number of other colleagues mentioned this to me, and we thought perhaps temporarily something wrong with the machine, but recently we have been told that there are two reasons for this: 1) Keele started to use a different type/label coffee, 2) the staff has been asked to use much less coffee when they are making coffee. So, the place is still great, location, cleanliness, space, and most importantly we have amazing staff, but the quality of coffee is failing us.

I enjoyed the environment, people specially not only winter sunny days but also rainy days when the rain drops creates interesting music. I wonder what went wrong with the decent coffee that we would like to have in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon too. Fairtrade Coffee is available in many cafes and kiosks all over the UK, but I have never seen such a weak coffee any where, I hope the management realize what they are doing with coffee beans and produce -with these wonderful machines with the help of great staff- a nice decent cup coffee.

The coffee shop had a burger menu but doesn't sell them until after 2:30. The street food served hot food but it was cold when served. So not the best experience

If you need a quick up of coffee it's okay a bit weak for my tastes but if you want food your better off going elsewhere.

Super friendly staff, can't do enough for you, great selection of food/drinks, coffee isn't too bad even though it's from a machine
