Full service cafe/diner with all day breakfast. Two styles of English breakfast. I chose the May Day because it included black pudding. Everything was very good.

Finally made it to this popular cafe! I live how historic this location is and the variety of traditional breakfast choices!! I love the sign stating that they try to get every item from other vendors in the covered market as well :)! The small breakfast was a good size but felt beans were a bit over powering. Having some mushrooms or choices of having both tomato and beans will make it even better. The tiffin was nice and the food came out quickly as well. Would have loved to try the apple pie but for the next time! Having two entrances could maybe help with some congestions in the entrance.

A bit of local history, very much now aimed at the tourist trade. Had a breakfast batch and other half poached egg on toast. Was very small portion for a steep price. And was for sure not the best ever experienced with chap bacon sausage and egg used. Still clinging on to the feel of the past but you get they want to do more than be a nutty shop.
I wouldn't go in again but wouldn't tell people to avoid either as it is pleasant enough and if you are on holiday and want a bit of cultural history then it does have bags of atmosphere.
All clean and tidy, staff friendly and food so so. Not sure what else there is locally to there that is a greasy spoon. When j am next in town will make it a mission to find out and compare

We came into the town centre looking for somewhere to have a breakfast. We found this place on Google and dropped in. Food was great and at a reasonable price. Staff were super friendly too and very attentive. Would return if in the area again.

To note there are no highchairs which could be an issue with small children.

Brown's Cafe has been around since 1924 and is in Oxford's covered market.

A great place for traditional breakfasts and a lot more. Seats inside and beside the shop window and a couple of tables outside.

Order and pay at the counter first and they deliver to your table.

Had a quality cappuccino; a properly made one with a proper taste. Would return.

Used to use the cafe often then poor health kept me out of town for some time. I started back a few months ago and saw it Has a new owner. The cafe had been Re decorated the girls who took my order were very pleasant and not entirely unattractive. I enjoyed the full breakfast washed down with a latte. I would recommend a visit to this roomy cafe

Been going to this cafe in the Covered Market for longer than I can remember!

The staff are very friendly and helpful and whilst I always have the full English breakfast, I am told that the other food is excellent too!

The only down side is that it is very busy and not always easy to get a table.

Recommended.
