Visited Jeyes today for Afternoon Tea. There were 6 of us in our group and the food supplied was ample for us all, with a good selection of sandwiches, quiche, scones, cakes and sweet treats (we couldn't finish it all and the staff were more than happy to box it up for us to take home). One of our group is Gluten free and the staff had no issues catering to her needs. The tea room was nicely decorated, and very cosy. There is an outside area which looked lovely and will be nice to sit out there in the summer. Service was efficient and we didn't feels rushed even though it was clearly busy. The attached shop is beautiful and well stocked with a variety of produce from local suppliers. Definitely worth a look around.

Lovely friendly cafe. Great service and excellent food.
Georgina (owner) greeted us and give us extra information regarding the history of the establishment.
Added extras were the museums and gift shop which together made an enjoyable lunch catch-up with friends.

We did not enjoy our experience of afternoon tea here. The staff looked and acted as if they were hating every minute. Made us feel uncomfortable. The sandwiches were nice but not as advertised. Our tables quiche and sausage rolls never arrived. We had to ask several times for tea/coffee and had almost finished eating before we got the drink only to be rushed to empty tea pot because they had ran out and needed it for another customer. Really disappointing

Love coming here for breakfast and lunch. Always lovely atmosphere and great food. Their pies and quiches are to die for. ❤️

Fascinating combination of shop, café, museum and chemist in one building, with an ecletic mix of collections in the museum from the history of the Jeyes family and other acquisitions.

We booked here for a wedding breakfast before the big day. We were looked after very well and the food was great. Will definitely be coming back. The menu has a wide range of offerings and the outside seating area was ideal.

Lovely place to eat. Portions are good and food is very tasty, I had bacon, brie and cranberry sandwich..lovely! The cakes look amazing, must try some next time. Jeyes has a nice conservatory area and small little private areas to sit, staff are attentive and accommodating ,love the selection of goods to buy such as ladies clothing, ladies accessories, books, jigsaw puzzles and some gift ideas.

Lovely afternoon tea in a relaxed setting. Food was fresh and tasty and a lovely selection of different things, and tailored to be gluten-free and lactose free. Beautiful crockery adds to the meal. All served quickly and with no fuss. There is also a gift and toy shop and a museum upstairs. Would recommend it to everyone.
