We had a nice birthday lunch, but the pasta and salad on my Ploughman's felt old which spoilt it a bit. The steak and ale pie on the other hand was delicious and very generous, with big chunks of meat
We bought some dog treats, hopefully they will go down well

Our first visit to this lovely place. Staff were very friendly. Good size portions. Can't really fault it apart from the pasta, tasted a bit off.

Tried this location today , very good atmosphere and welcoming staff ( owners) . Dog friendly in outside garden area.
Interesting menu and reasonable prices.
Would certainly visit again soon when back in the area.
Also bought some honey, cake, and dog treats to take home .

I was so excited to visit the tearoom. I had heard/read great things!! Upon arrival, we were greeted in rather an abrupt manner and asked if we had pre-booked(despite seeing that there were many spaces available). We were seated inside the tearoom which on the outside is a very pretty, picturesque chocolate box cottage. In the entrance there were a plethora of cakes situated closely to a selection of handmade dog treats which was all I could smell during the visit!!
We ordered a coffee and tea and given that this is a 'tearoom' it was weak and tasteless....so was the coffee! We couldn't finish our drinks! We both ordered the Club sandwich which was £10 each assuming it would be a tasty, hearty lunch but unfortunately it was way below the standard I'd expect. The salad didn't taste fresh and the garnish which included luke warm pasta that tasted a few days old, some pale peas and carrots and the dry old ends of celery....so random!! The sandwich also featured lots of coleslaw inside it and a grey boiled egg!!! In fact, I had indigestion all day from it. Glad we didn't force ourselves to to eat it all.
So disappointed as the menu looked very promising. All I can assume is that their afternoon tea is a heck of a lot better!?

Used to frequent here often but the owners are rude. The food isn't great tbh and they offer no alternative milk for allergy sufferers so I couldn't drink anything but water. I had to stop ordering food because again, no allowance for allergies. The last straw was when I brought my sons and they were told by the owner to hurry up and finish their food because they're taking too long! We'd only been sat there 10 minutes. Also they started charging me for tap water which is illegal. So I won't ever come here again and I advise others not to bother either.

What an amazing place. Food is excellent. Can't praise the staff enough for the service. Lots of extras - not just your average tea and cake or sandwich - way beyond our expectations
