As it turns out, this is the best meal we all had in Swansea. More so, the service is spectacular. Everyone is kind and polite, all your needs are catered to with utmost care. Loved it.
The ambience takes you back in history.

I opted for a veggie breakfast & a coffee (with a free top up) at this old Swansea favourite. The cafe retains many of it's original character from the days of the "Kardomah Boys" - one of them which was the poet Dylan Thomas (worth a google). Tasty traditional dessert's too - so treated myself to a trifle (see pic).

We stopped by for breakfast on a Wednesday morning at 10:00 and had no trouble getting a table, though it was somewhat busy. Good fresh brewed coffee and English breakfast. Service is great and prices are quite reasonable given its popularity. Will definitely be back.

We recently visited this quaint little cafe. We stayed nearby and it was quick walk. Pleasantly surprised by the wonderful service, great food and friendly atmosphere. I had been looking for pancakes for breakfast as this is a regular breakfast item in North America. I was excited to find they had these, although on the Desert menu, they were happy to make them for me. My husband had the breakfast and it was equally as good. I suggest visiting this great little local gem.

First time to visit this cafe with my wife and granddaughter and I will definitely be returning. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the service was great. The breakfast was served very quickly and cooked perfectly with just the right amount. My wife was happy because they gave you a pot of hot water with the tea to top up as she hates drinking tea after its gone cold. My 9 month old granddaughter was the star attraction and all the staff just made a lovely fuss of her. Would definitely recommend a visit to this cafe .

Visited today with my husband and daughter. My husband used to visit there as a child so was looking forward to this visit.
Seated quickly, rushed to order, I'd barely taken my coat off.
Food was fine, hot, nothing to write home about.
Bill replaced a plate as soon as it was empty.
My daughter and I needed the toilet so as we got up and asked where it was, a waitress informed us we'd have to use the gents as the ladies had already been cleaned and was closed.
I asked my daughter if she could hold it, but said she couldn't.
As expected, gents stank of urine, we walked into a urinal and one cubicle. I was very unimpressed that they felt this was appropriate for a child to use.
On returning to the restaurant the floor had been mopped so felt uncomfortable walking on their clean floor but no one seemed to want to wait for paying customers to vacate the premises before cleaning up. It seemed we were the inconvenience.
Quite annoyed at myself really as I should have to just asked to use the ladies regardless and spoken to the manager if that was an issue but you try to be a good customer and conform. Next time I'd be much bolder if this happened again. But I don't plan on visiting this restaurant again. Definitely no customer service skills here.

First time here breakfast was freshly cooked and quality sausages. Service was very quick, staff were extremely busy and always smiling. We saw a member of staff helping customer in wheelchair which we felt she went above and beyond to help customer. I will definitely return here.

Top quality breakfast, clean, staff friendly and efficient and good value. Can’t wait to come back to Swansea for breakfast. Lovely smiley people. Nice to see.
