We had got the fruit cake from cake box for the first time and it was so soft and juicy. They had variety of base available which gave us good options to choose from.

I order 36 safari cupcake from cakebox Southall, king st. To be collected on 4pm 26 January. I collected it after 5pm, there were 3 boxes of cupcakes. Therefore, wanted buy a carry bag with credit card. But the lady on the cashier said they do not take card for 20p. I told her I have no cash as I have already paid for the cupcake, when I ordered it. Therefore I did not bother to bring any cash. I told her , I will be coming back tomorrow to order my daughters cake because I am not sure we will be celebrating her birthday on Saturday or Sunday. She can write it down somewhere or relay the message to someone and I will come and pay for it tomorrow with the cake. But, she did not budge the slightest nor did she gave me other option. So, I have to carry 3 slippery boxes and vup cake got spoil I was so disheartened that such a renowned company like yours will be so pitiful for 20p and would not adjust the a little for a loyal customer.

Based on my experience First thing first the customer service is average, the staff needs to realise you’re not just normal shop on the street. People actually buy cake 🎂 for special occasion. The staff is not really friendly with the customers. Most important the cake 🎂 is never to standard level. I have no idea for long the cream on the cake is there, second the strawberries 🍓 on the cake for decoration is never fresh (I don’t understand why). I order coconut 🥥 flavour for my brother bday nd honestly I couldn’t even taste coconut 🥥 from anywhere in the cake. And paying all that extra money for the taste of the cake was wasted. After few weeks when I order cake for my mum’s bday it was the same the cream was not fresh again. Overall I would say u can take ur chances but I won’t recommend cake 🎂 box for special occasions.
