Absolutely disgusting!!!
I paid £152 for my daughter birthday cake and i only got breaded cake,no cream no syrup whatsoever no taste no aspect.It was really dry and all went to the bin.The worst cake i ever seen in my life.Really disappointed !!!
The cake doesn’t deserve a star at all!!!

Fantastic experience, first time at this branch and customer service was exceptional. Cake slice looks fresh and I’m sure it’ll taste great too!

Ruined my mum's birthday.... We have ordered from this company 4 times and 3 out of 4 our order has never been done. We always have to chase up our cake orders. Special with this store Goodmayes. Well yesterday was just unacceptable. I could tell the cake had been made in the time we were on the phone disputing our order, once they realised that they have messed up our order before, the made the cake while we were on our way. This would have beeb lovely if the changed the icing. Also put 50 instead of 60 it was embarrassing to say the least.

Much worse than I anticipated. I had to leave the store without making a purchase since the customer service was so terrible.
The lousy Romanian worker treated me badly and insulted me. She said, "Can't you see the prices and cake ingredients are displayed on the cakes, if you don't want to buy cake just go away don't waste my time," when I asked for help choosing the cake I wanted. Because I was unfamiliar with their sponge and flavour. This was my first time visiting this cake shop.
I had to leave the store because I was so upset by her actions. I've never felt such deep disappointment in my life. Never going to go to this shop again where a customer can not be respected.
The staff was so rude I could never expect this.

Before visiting the cake bake please read my review it is very important this will help you to not waste your money.
We bought cake this evening for my wife’s birthday we didn’t knew that the cake is very bad quality till we arrived at home and start eating.
The cake was baked very bad feels like a week old and cream was very dry and hard with in an hour most of guests were feeling sick so please avoid going there and do not waste your money .
Lastly to the company owner or manager please refund our payment which we paid £26.99
We still have half left over cake if you want we can bring back to you in tomorrow morning. Disgusting rubbish cake ever.

PATHETIC, UNPROFROFESSIONAL
ordered a cake for my daughters 10th birthday party. On the day of her party, when I went to collect the cake, they told me that cake has got misplaced. Just can't understand how casual one can be. They not even bothered to call me and inform about it, if it actually happened. Manager of the shop refused to come on line to speak with me. These guys spoilt the whole party and made my girl upset on her birthday , who was too excited for her cake. It was a mistake to book cake from here, and would never be back again.

The cake quality is awesome. They made the cake exactly what I wanted for my son's birthday. new ranges of cakes, customer service team always happy and ready. Definitely would recommend!

I've bought this two cakes for my children birthdays, despite all the reviews that I saw. The romanian girl from the counter was amazing, she had a lot of patience with me and advised what she thought it was better. Shame on me because I forgot her name. Maybe Eliza. The place is nice and clean, the cakes are amazingly tasty. I would recommend to buy from Cakes & Bakes, but please read what you want to be written on the cake. :) My daughter's name is Erika but it was misspelled. I corrected it myself because I didn't read it in time on the shop. Still, a pleasure to buy from you! We're human, we all can do mistakes.
