Nice designed cakes, lovely selections.
For me, I am not happy with the service.

I ordered my cake a day before, they said they bake cakes every day, and they assured me I can pick the cake up next day.

Next day I called to confirm the cake was ready for 4pm pick up, they confirmed yes.

I arrived around 4pm, and 2 clerks were there, when I asked to pick up my cake, they were confused and didn't even know what happened to the cake. Apparently one of them dressed in black went to the stock room to pick a new cake.

I wasn't even sure if the cake was freshly baked that day or just old cake. The same guy had to go out and buy oreoes biscuits because they ran out, which took another 5mins. The guy dressed in white was trying to show me everything was ok, he might be a store manager or supervisor because he was training the other guy.

The guy in black returned and gave the new biscuits to the guy in white. And to my surprise the guy wanted to use his bare hands to decorate the cake with the oreoes biscuits, I had to tell him to wear gloves.

Then he started to decorate the name on the cake which I expected to be done before I arrived. In the end I spent almost 15mins plus customers on services, unacceptable. I should have just came in to pick up a cake and spend max 6-7mins.

I would give this a 4 star review, but because of the pandemic and commonsense I have to give a 3 star so that they can learn and take hygiene seriously.

The cake was nice, soft and creamy which I expected, but I wasn't sure if it was a fresh cake or old stock.

Today is my daughter's birthday, and I got the Cake around 8:25 PM; they leave up to their standard delivery time (9 AM-9PM)!!! . . All my guests kept waiting for the Cake, and finally, I had to run to ASDA to get a cake to cut. Absolutely disappointed with the delivery time; adding to that, the Cake which was delivered was not in right condition, seemed to hit the sides of the box, which damaged one side of the Cake (This is called Icing on the Cake!!) .

on the whole cake tastes good but both delivery and standard of delivering the cake in good condition both sucks.

oh before i complete , I called the lady on the number around 5 PM and she was giving me lecture on 9AM -9PM delivery time and then said it will be deliverd by 7 to 7 :30 PM and tone was also not write , anywaz this is my last order with them .

Note that i didnt order at last minute , i called them 5 days back and asked when i need to place order they said order it a day before the birthday.

I have been ordering cakes from this place for years now and they are always amazing and spot on , even on the shorter notice. They have always been amazing and I travel all the way from Southend to Barking for their amazing cakes always... definitely recommend for fresh and beautiful cakes for any occasion.

So I ordered a birthday cake for my brother. What you are about to see in the first picture is what I have sent them the rest of the pictures are those that I took when the cake arrived. It's clear to me that I have paid 350£ for it and unfortunately it's was really unprofessional and disappointing. I requested to write something specific in the board of the cake and the wrote it wrong and the forgot to mention from whom it was. The letters as well the don't have the same colour. am really disappointed and I won't order from them again.

I am giving 2 for the disappointment on my child b-day cake, I ordered a 10inch vegan cake from this website and gave the details to write on it, I had a chat with the seller via their website chat icon,
they gave us completely empty with no msg written on it, no name, flat cake. After we challenged them they said “the design of the cake doesn’t allow us to write”
After they get the payment they don’t care.
Any one can bake such a cake like twist they have sold me and save £45. Now other parents have seen their work around the word of mouth goes faster.

UPDATE: I did return and ordered my wedding cake! It was delicious and looked fabulous - exactly how I wanted it. All my guest kept complimenting the quality of the cake. I am so pleased I went to cakes and bakes barking road for my special events. I fully recommend getting in touch with them if you are looking for a beautiful cake for any occasion! Thank you for the hard work!

We orderd cake on Saturday for my daughter's birthday on Monday with online delivery.
The cake never delivered and each time they are saying on the way on the way and they they stop responding phone

They didn't have any clue about the delivery when i called next day they asked...

Is it not delivered? Ohh okay we will do full refund...

Never ever place order from them, I read review on trustpilot and get to know i am not the alone who was spoiled by them

Love their freshly made cakes; ordered many times with no issues. Customer service is great too. They accept card payments including AMEX.
